A lot of bad wigs the last few years (what happened) and starting fillers and Botox so young, yeah, she looks 40 a lot.  The fillers and Botox age her.  So many people ask what has she done to her face.   She was born with a thick head of  hair due to her Italian roots.   Take off some of those bad wigs with fake hairlines sometime and bring expression back to her face by stopping Botox and fillers  and she would look 29 again.  I liked that she went to extensions and had her own hairline for part of the Joanne era.   She's looked fresher because of it, more carefree.

Why are people so surprised lol? Late 40s is a stretch, but if I didn't know gaga and saw a picture of her from, let's say billboard woman of the year or her Sinatra performance or roseland performances I would think she is in was in her late 30s

When I went to TMB with my friend my friend asked me how old Gaga was and I told her 24/25, and she was like omg I thought she was in her mid 30s so yeah, many think shes older than she is.

I think a lot has to do with her personality. She's always had a sense of seriousness about her, and she is wise beyond her years.

Gaga looks late 20's to me - but it's also like, this is what she actually looked like in her 20's

These are not really looks that scream "youthful 20 year old".

Through her heavy make up and outrageous avant garde fashion - Gaga has always seemed more mature than her age. I don't know any 20 year olds that look like Gaga did when she was in her 20's.

in my opinion, she started out looking older. she set herself up that way by the looks she used to wear.
