GagaXCupcakke 3,818
I remember Gaga saying that American Horror Story inspired her to write some music. It seems like most of Joanne doesn't have anything to do with it. In season 6 Gaga plays a sort of tribal witch that really likes sex. Dancin in Circles has a tribal feel to it. And tribal witches dance around fires. It works with the whole, "in the fire I call your name out" part of the song. Sooo was DIC inspired by AHS season 6? FilthyPOP414 646
It makes sense, but she meant Hotel inspired the RedOne songs on album 5 that wasn't Joanne yet.
Squeeshy Keety 9,909
It seems unlikely since it was originally "Driving in Circles" and was more of a sad cherry pop than the celebretory cha cha party of the final version I doubt it would have the same "tribal" (tropical-esque) production had she gone with the lonelier version They / Them 🏳️🌈

Cailleach 2,974
Well the chorus did remind me of scathachs deep, echo-y voice but I doubt the song was meant to be inspired by AHS. Maybe they started filming around the same time as the recording and that's why it sounds so tribal-ish That's not very born this way of you
