Forget that Gaga and P!nk make different music. What I'm comparing here is the ups and downs of both of their careers. If you mush together The Fame/Fame Monster as one album, the ups and downs of Gaga and P!nk's career are very similar. The Fame/Fame Monster era was a high point of Gaga's career, just like P!nk's first album Can't Take Me Home. Each of their second album efforts were successful as well. Born This Way did great and so did Missundaztood Their third album efforts experienced an underperformance for each of them. ARTPOP and Try This didn't measure up to the two previous albums of each artist When they released their 4th albums, their lead singles were met with less enthusiasm. Gaga's "Perfect Illusion" and P!nk's first two singles "Stupid Girls" ("Stupid Girls" really only seemed big because of the music video) and "Who Knew" performed subpar in the US. But on their next efforts for singles, things began to change. P!nk's "U + Ur Hand" became a great success on the charts (which eventually led to "Who Knew" being re-released and made that a hit as well). Now, as "Million Reasons" begins to climb, as radio plays it more and more, it appears that Gaga is going to have her SINGLE comeback moment just like P!nk had exactly 10 years ago.
