Oprah is the living embodiment of The American Dream. Surviving childhood poverty, rape, and the death of her son, she went on to become the most respected and successful African American philanthropist and businesswomen in our country's history. She is an American icon and a living historical figure. She is so beloved and respected that her opinions shift public perceptions, which is why The Left has been begging her to run for public office for decades. Clinton was hailed as the most experienced politician to ever run for President, and she lost. Government experience does not always translate to a winning presidential campaign, especially against a candidate like Trump. If you want to advance your political agenda and defeat Trump in 2020 you should be asking yourself who can actually defeat him, not who is most qualified for the job. Supersonic 49,376
Not y'all trying to make it seem like the USA only voted for presidents with extensive political experience. Zachary Taylor Ulysses S. Grant Dwight D. Eisenhower Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama come to mind. I remember that the main argument against Obama in 2008 was that he's too inexperienced as a political leader and yet he's probably in the Top 3 best presidents the United States ever had. Oprah has the mental capacity to learn, she is a fierce fighter and most of all she is compassionate and listens, a trait that many US presidents fail to display. I'd bet she would kick ass at being a president.

Our next democratic nominee has to be someone with a lot of experience, especially because they'll likely have to clean up the mess of Trump. This. America is such a ****ing joke. Embarassing. Reagan and Obama barely had a hint of political or military experience Hillary had the most political experience ever and she got absolutely crush. Trump's electoral victory was humiliating. Oprah is an American icon and hero, and one of the richest women in the entire world. There is no reason she shouldn't run. I muuuch rather have her than Trump or whatever socialist the Democrats will end up nominating. You don't need executive/government experience to be a great president. You need someone to go in there and shake things up in a positive way, unlike Trump. This is a great idea, I'm 100% here for it. If she runs this country half as good as her empire with liberal common sense principles, we'd be great
