For years she ran daytime TV — but can the "Queen of All Media" run for the highest elected office in America? Oprah Winfrey suggested that the Oval Office could be in her future in an episode of Bloomberg's "The David Rubenstein Show: Peer-to-Peer Conversations" that aired Wednesday. "I actually never thought — I never considered the question even a possibility. I just thought, oh, oh," said Winfrey, 63, who supported Hillary Clinton in last year's election. While the TV mogul didn't mention Donald Trump specifically, she hinted that his roots as a businessman and reality-TV star could make her reconsider. "I thought, 'I don't have the experience, I don't know enough,'" Winfrey said. Luiz 4,253 Posted March 1, 2017 Share Posted March 1, 2017 slowly but surely i think presidents will be like kings. figureheads while the real politicians do the dirty work behind the scenes. this is really dangerous. are we going to reduce our leader to nothing but a glorified puppet of a political party? because if we keep electing celebs that is what congress will attempt to do eventually(i think). take away some of the president's power and disrupt the system of checks and balanced because one of the branches that weilds those checks is now incompetent in the arena of real politics that being said, i think she definitely can win I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it. Lets not make it something common to just elect stars for president. It's a serious job and it needs some one with a past in politics (and military service, please) to run. Don't let Social media tell you it's logical to do something like this again, it's not cute and can lead to some serious damage to our country (someone's already stated how).
