97 1,140
Don't get me wrong I loved the music video, but seeing gaga get in violent car crashes and seeing her lying there dead and her getting shot, really upset me? I don't know I was just wondering if anyone else felt the same? (I am aware of her past videos that included violence, but this one was different for me.) Edit: This thread turned into a sh*t show, apparently me being disturbed of gaga dying is wrong? apparently I should be used to it by now and if I was a "real" fan I wouldn't be taken back by violence?... Miel 15,009
No, I feel you. Car crashes are relatively personal for me, so that was a bit of an eye opener. That said, I feel like the campiness and grotesqueness in the video's portrayal of almost self-inflicted vehicular violence is very representative of the song- a campy, loud representation of a trainwreck of relationships. 3 points in and ready for more

Doot 2
Paparazzi - Gets shoved off a balcony. Poisons her boyfriend, kills him, and then relishes in it. Bad Romance - Works in a brothel, lights the man who buys her on fire. Kills him. Smokes a cigarette next to his bones. Telephone - Murders an entire diner full of people (including a dog) GUY - Smashes a bottle over someones head. Just putting some perspective on it. TeenIdle 126,436
Paparazzi and Telephone are far more disturbing. At least she's killing different versions of herself this time. 𝖓𝖊𝖜 𝖗𝖊𝖑𝖎𝖌𝖎𝖔𝖓

Exactly and gaga has this "thing" with princess Diana, car crashes and celebrities is common and that's always been a fear of mine with gaga. I DON'T WANT YOUR MONEY, I JUST WANT YOUR SOUL HONEY. boyerased 2,886
It's a nod to those campy brutal films ala Kill Bill or Machete Kills. Yes it is violent, but violence was used to symbolize things, like her relationships and issues with her self.
