I never defended him, you must be confused :awkney:

I think his problem is that you didn't come into this thread by calling him a nazi with caps-lock on.

@barcodemonster @Sizzily

We are just going to have to deal with the reality that we have a "12th grade" intellect, we're "****ing disgusting," "hypocritical," "HARMFUL," "DANGEROUS," "Nazis" with poor reading comprehension.

If only we could be as tolerant as them.

No, because they haven't researched what feminism is. Milo knows damn well what feminism is. Feminism is supporting gender equality, and there's different focuses and gradations and forms that he can disagree with.

So disagreeing with fundamental reproductive rights and thinking Rape is ok is "knowing damn well what feminism is"?

Now i've seen everything :sharon:

I'm not tolerant of intolerant views against minority groups. Deal with it. :sharon::classy:

Republicans don't mix with other people enough to have an important opinion on diversity and issues regarding minority groups.

Generalizing. You don't like it when they do it to you, but you can do it all day long. :saladga:

But that's why people are republicans, because they lack empathy and compassion.

Here is a Milo supporter giving an interview, in which she praises the peaceful protesters of the event...and then they pepper spray her in the face.

Here are protesters beating an unconscious man at tonight's riot.

It's a difficult situation. Why do you think Milo's doing this at Ivy League universities, where >80% are liberals and the rest are GOP establishment's kids? These protests are the purpose of his tours. He wants to cause a stir and he wants CNN to report on it. He wants people to think that the left is just as bad as he is.

On the other hand: what can you do to prevent other universities from making the same mistake of inviting a fascist?

Honestly, I don't get why some universities invite him to speak in the first place. Doing so would prevent future events from happening in the first place. Like, they say what his influence can do yet they give him the money and the platform to twist the situation to his own sick benefit :madge:

Like, I also don't get that free speech only goes so far as long as it's not deemed as "fighting words," i.e. words that are grounds for immediate conflict. Almost anything political that someone like this alt-right prick are bound to incite a sense of antagonism towards certain groups of individuals. It's so frustrating :madge:

And he's a gay immigrant of all things and he's supporting and perpetuating these alt-right ideals. Like, just why???????????? To just get people mad because he's so overtly racist and xenophobic :madge:

Milo is an awful person who I disagree with to the extreme, but he is not a Nazi. When we call people Nazis who are not Nazis we undermine the word and give it less power when describing actual Nazis. It doesn't matter what Republicans are saying, that doesn't justify using the word. When someone goes low, you go high.

Also, I have family members and friends who are republicans, they are not evil people, they do not lack empathy or compassion, and they definitely aren't Nazis, they simply have different beliefs. You will never solve anything by looking at them as your enemy, in fact you will probably make things worse. This is an excellent example of how divided our two party system has left us, to the point where we view those with opposing views as our enemy and evil.
