FATCAT 60,100
I lost a lot of respect for anyone that supports Hillary as the nominee to go up against Trump. She's only neck and neck with him because he can't keep his mouth shut. If he shut up more, he'd be beating her. She's a weak candidate. Voting against her in 2020. ReidOne 12,427
Don't forget, nearly every single one of Katy's hits were written by a man that most believe sexually assaulted Kesha and has used his power to trap her into a contract, thus destroying her career. And Katy continued to work with him (in secret) even after he was exposed. Katy needs damage control. And this is the perfect opportunity, supporting the first female presidential candidate. CheapGin 561
I think she's hurting her brand more by: 1. Always releasing the same type of music. 2. Waiting too long to release new music.

SychosSoChic 9,995
Honestly if your brand is appealing to bigots and scum, then it wasn't a brand worth keeping. Life ain't Hollywood for any one of us.

Meanwhile Bey (4 kinda have an impact far removed from its release), Rih and Gaga didn't. I wonder where will Katy be. She probably won't flop. StrawberryBlond 14,891
I respect her for not worrying about her brand in this case, though. Too many artists are too concerned about that to ever tell the world what they really feel about anything. Too many celebrities just say what they've been told to say, just give vague answers, not real answers. It's refreshing to see one of them wear their opinions on their sleeve. But to be honest, where Katy could really hurt her brand involves what type of music she's working on (as we've seen with Rise, too mature a song does not appeal to her young fans and those who like her happy songs) and when she chooses to give us this long-awaited follow-up (its been over 3 years now, a long time for a popstar and I feel like she's not as relevant as she was 3 years ago).
