Good. Adele should win, all other albums on that list are awful and I even wasted my time with listening to all of them.

They are no Gaga, and they never will be

I've found that it's impossible to predict the Academy's voting patterns. I don't think they get people qualified enough for the respective categories and don't agree with the system in general, and it's rare that I agree with their choices. Last year's AOTY in particular was shocking for me, but hey. Who am I to knock artists that are clearly talented and work hard? Just my opinion.

Adele could clearly take it. But despite 25's enormous success, it doesn't feel as momentous as 21 and for that reason I feel like they might try to give it to someone else to have their "moment". I personally think Lemonade deserves it more - and out of those that are likely to get nominated I hope it wins - and it's been far more acclaimed/talked about than 25 which could give it the edge. However the black stuff could be enough to turn some voters off.

It's really tricky but the Grammys always surprise me. Sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. But I don't really trust their judgement anymore, even though it's still of course a great prize to receive.

Just like Leo at Oscars, Beyonce has a solid work this year and it's about damn time for her winning AOTY, specially after 2014 with selftitled.

I still think Blackstar will (should) win.

Amen. Blackstar is by far the best album of 2016 so far, and I'm not just saying that because Bowie is dead. It's a brilliant album and I'm sorry but it sh*ts all over 25 and Lemonade which, by the way, doesn't deserve to be nominated IMO.

Why? What else would you place ahead of it?

Well if Blackstar doesn't win, then I guess 25 should. There's no denying its mind-blowing sales and the fact that Adele is adored the world over. She's talented, and she deserves to win. As for Lemonade... I don't know, I just can't stand Beyoncé anymore, I think she's overrated, as is her music. The album did nothing for me, apart from one or two songs. But like I said, that's my personal opinion. I know a lot of people love her, but frankly, I'd rather see Bowie or Adele win.

I think whoever wins depends more on what genre the music is and if it's the opposite of last year. You'll notice that in the last few years, the pattern has gone as follows - mainstream, alternative, mainstream, alternative. 1989 won this year and it was mainstream, meaning next year's will probably be alternative. And by alternative, I mean an album that didn't have mammoth sales and isn't be a huge, current name (Arcade Fire, Beck, etc). They don't really seem to go for the same type for 2 consecutive years. Taylor had to wait for another 3 albums before she got her second win and it's extremely rare for artists to win for 2 consecutive albums. 25 was nowhere near the level of impact that 21 was, which is another reason why it stands a lower chance. I could totally see something like Blackstar or A Moon Shaped Pool scoop it at the end of the day.

All this aside, how the hell to they even whittle it down to this shortlist? Out of all the albums released every year, the line-up is always s**t except maybe one, tops. You look at these choices and think: "You know, critics, there is more music out there..."

25 is not groundbreaking in any sense not even for her. It's the same old Adele. I love the album. Lemonade definitely deserves it for the Grammys. It was the best selling album of the year, but clearly the Grammys don't care just about that.

PS, Lemonade is not a R&B album. Lemonade is a Pop/R&B Album...
