I don't think that's a fair assumption. I appreciate his willingness to take on corporate inversions and actually im pro-amnesty in most cases, but I am for border security for national security purposes. I dont think we can upend all 11 million immigrants here. I say you take the ones with a criminal record and send them out because that's the morally right thing to do. It's not fair for the law abiding illegals to just be deported. Some of them are embedded in communities. They deserve a path to citizenship. But that doesn't mean I have to not support Trump.

Another thing that I support Trump policy wise on is his stances on education. I think common core is a mess and he will get rid of it. And he's for reforming health-care by removing the ACA (ObamaCare) and replacing it with something more universal. He has said "We dont need people dying on the streets because they can't afford it" but you only hear the brash soundbites , not the heartfelt ones like that.

I was skeptical about Trump for many reasons back last year but I honestly do think he's a good person. i don't think he's a bigot for the most part I think he's just very brash at times but honestly that's what I respect about him.

Plus, you're right. Bernie and Trump are similar in many ways. Including their lack of acceptance of SuperPac money. They BOTH should be applauded for that and good for them for making this about issues and not taking lobbyist money that they will be bound to when and if they ever get elected. Obama really burnt me out on that...

I anoint you the only trump supporter that I've met to actually have their **** together and know their facts. You'll have no more ruckus from me.

Who do you guys think is gonna end up in 2nd? (Assuming Trump gets the nom)

Rubio so far has come 2nd in two states.

My prediction, Cruz drops out and his supporters go to Trump because they both attract anti-establishment voters.

Rubio does come in second when Trump starts talking about how he's "better as a VP pick" and he'll call him weak and a puppet.

John Kasich is the VP pick and the ticket will be Trump Kasich 2016 which all but guarantees a Ohio victory for Republicans in November and practically seals the deal on the Presidency. President Trump becomes reality.

Shadows, you just gained a lot of respect from me.

It is always a good idea to step back from both parties and look at the bigger picture. We don't get too many choices, but we can at least make educated decisions and not blindly follow candidates based on their rhetoric. Actions speak more loudly than words.

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.

Or the media's spin on things. The soundbites that Trump gets on the news are always negative. But they never show stuff like this.

I simply disagree. I feel that with the fact that Trump is drawing record new registrations of voters and expanding the electorate does not bode well for your arguments. The problem with the Republican Party is that its been the "old white bible believing old party"... Trump is bringing in Latinos, African Americans, and conservative Democrats that are not keen on a candidate being investigated by the FBI (Clinton) or a self proclaimed socialist (Bernie obviously).

In most states you have to declare your party when you register or you have to switch your affiliation , some people particularly people who dont vote often don't realize that until its too late. so the turnout number may reflect that issue some.

Oh and no worries... I know I come off as abrasive I don't mean to be... I just expected a lot of flack for the opinions I hold on a mostly liberal forum. I apologize for my pre-emptive defensiveness. I enjoy discussions such as this very much.

Just discuss it, try not to jump to the defensive place right away, because not everyone here is attacking people for who they are voting for! (Some are, I know, but just ignore them) I also enjoy discussing politics, as many others do here.

I believe Trump is bringing in people who are angry. Close to seventy per cent of the Republican voters are angry, so that is the pool that Trump is mainly pulling from. Trump will not bring in Latinos, not any kind of significant number. He pissed most of them off by threatening to deport their relatives and friends. He could, however, bring in a small portion of black voters that believe that those from Central America are stealing their jobs.

But he is bringing in Latino voters... Nevada has a huge Latino population and more latinos voted in the Republican Caucus than they did in the Democratic Caucus. Traditionally Latino's have always voted for Republicans until recently... Trump won more than 45 percent of the Latino vote last night and most were newly registered (record turnout) the new registrations surpassed the entire total votes cast in the GOP Caucus there in 08 and 12 combined.

Look at it this way, the 11 million people you were talking about are not here legally so they can't vote anyway. Latinos who are here legally have a different opinion on what Trump has to say.

We are cool :) let's be civil. If people can do it on CNN we can do it here haha

It's not like any trump supporters will really look at your link, they could care less about his policies. They just care that he's gonna build an impossibly expensive and time consuming Iron curtain and deport "all those rapists".

First let me say, I am not a Trump supporter.

Having said that, I believe you are selling many Trump supporters short. Yes, there are many of them that are racist extreme types, but many are just sick of the government. Just like most of Bernie's supporters aren't really socialist, they are just sick of the government. (not equating racists with socialists here, btw)

Most people who support Trump aren't really thinking that all immigrants from Central America are rapists, they just wonder why we have a porous border and why no one has been able to do anything about it. They want the country to get control of immigration, instead of throwing up their hands and basically giving up.

He brought up Christian Terrorists which is not what is talking about... And I'm sorry I didn't understand what he wanted me to list...

No need to be sorry :) I was genuenly curious as to what policies you agree with Trump. Not attacking your choice at all, I think we can all have adult discussions about the candidates. Personally I consider myself fairly liberal and Im voting for Hillary Clinton and that itself is met with side-eyes from a lot of my ultra liberal peers who are voting Sanders.

You just summarized the thoughts of one particular Trump supporter (me).

I thought Hillary nailed it last night at the town hall. She is very well spoken and a great intellect.

I think that Hillary is always very well spoken especially when compared to Sanders. But I always feel like so many on social media are dedicated to undermine everything that Clinton says/does for the sake of making Sanders look like the patron saint of Liberalism, which is unfortunate because so many of the young voters are so facebook/twitter focused. Anyway thats my little rant lol. In regards to your Trump, I dont think he is the monster the media is so intent on portraying, I think a lot of liberals have more of a problem with Trump's supoorters than with Trump himself.

Edit: oops I quoted your weong response, Im on mobile so bare with me lol

I'm going to Las Vegas, I hope I'm not a victim of crime. Is it really that bad?

You should be okay if you stay in the Casino districts at nite.   If you get lucky and win a lot of money , ask for security to escort you when you leave or make sure you can deposit any large cash amount in a bank , during daylite hours.

The most dangerous areas are where drug dealers hang out and poorly lit parking lots late at nite..

Trumps popularity with 'Republican' latino's is pretty much a non factor in the general election right now tho since they mostly vote as a block and that would be Liberal....

Trumps appeal comes mainly from the fact that he can speak and promote any agenda he chooses since his campaign funds don't come from big oil/chemicals(conservative) or Big Media/Labor Unions (dem's) ...  He is 'Republican' mainly because not of their candidates have any voter appeal or electabilty right now. He is more of an independent than anything...

I agree with this specifically about the independant statement. I think he sees a crumbling party who needs a new leader to mold ideals around and finally the party may become in-tune with the electorate. I am anxious to see how the RNC gradually starts to accept his nomination inevitability.
