What would make LG5 a succesful era?

In my opinion if the album produced at least 3 big top ten hits 2 of them making top 5 in both US and UK and if the album stayed at number 1 in US for about 4 weeks and number 1 for at least 2 weeks in the UK then I would consider that a good success for Gaga which would probably firmly cement her as the world's biggest pop star again.

a really good concept for the album, and of course, great songs. at this point i don't even care about sales, as long as she releases a great album

at least 2 #1 hits

that's all she needs to pull off

she obviously wants a big WW tour after that but Gaga adores touring so that is happening for sure

Well she has never been better positioned to a successful era tbh. But I think no matter what, the core is the music. She just needs to let the music speak for itself.

Good music, good visuals, and good fashion. She needs to bring back the people she worked with during The Fame Monster era (late 2009-2010), not just musically but visually too. She needs to bring back her old makeup artists and wig designers. She also needs to stop messing with her face and it let it revert back to normal. No injections, no "beauty techniques", no facetape, and no surgery of any kind. She always exuded natural strong charisma largely thanks to her facial features which have been tarnished with everything she has done to her face. It shouldn't be too late to fix this. She has the looks of a superstar but is losing them and it's her own doing.

I love love love what you are saying.

But do you really think her fashion choices and facetape/make-up application will change whether the era becomes a success or not? I think as long as the music and it's promotion is on point she can look however she wants to and it will be okay.

I agree with this I do hope she goes back to her 2010 looks in the fame monster era

Great music, great music videos, vocally breathtaking performances. I don't care #1s or stuff (It would be great to achieve that, though) What mostly means to me is her using her talent the best way and give a 100% at everything.

Yes I do. In fact, it's vital. You can call my opinion shallow, but visuals have a big impact on how you perceive music. Her larger than life persona, mainly thanks to her visually striking appearance played a huge part in her success.

During the fame era her style was so consistent and striking and the fame monster, whereas during the born this way era she looked totally different in each music video and the same goes for the ARTPOP era I did like some of her styles during both eras but I agree and also think that she looked unrecognisable almost since 2011

but i also feel that because of how strong her branding and style was during the fame and fame monster era and because of how famous she is now i feel that she can still easily go back to her original classic look and have no problems with being hugely successful again
