Everytime I watch it, it gets even better. The performance was brilliant and will probably end up being one of her most underrated performances of all time. She was literally channeling bowie, she was in character the whole time. I don't know much about bowie at all but from what little i've seen of him, i could tell right away that all her movements, dancing and even singing was reminiscent of him. Think of it like the Jo Calderone performance except instead she was David Bowie. You have to forget about Lady Gaga and think about David Bowie, if you want to truly appreciate the brilliance of the performance. The technology was perfect, it didn't overshadow the tribute to bowie, rather it was a tool used to express bowie-esque imagery. The dancing robotic piano, the face-mapping technology,the 3D cosmos during Heroes and the live projection during RebelRebel were so innovative. All of that technology was done live! The major reason why y'all find the tech underwhelming is cuz we are used to seeing special effects after something has been filmed, you have to remember that this stuff was being done live! Like how the hell were the able to due those cool effects on Gaga during RebelRebel live? If there was more technology, it would have overshadowed the purpose of the performance which was to honour Bowie. In my books, this is one of her best performances. It's the most watched programme of the day here. Don't get the negative fibe at GGD. Disliking something is fine; I wasn't an immediate fan of the C2C era, but I knew the album brought joy to Gaga. However, I never once explicitly stated that she ruined her career, or she made a HUGE mistake. Like, what kind of "fan" says that? My favorite comments are the ones that insult intel. They claim that their involvement was unnecessary and unimpressive. I would like to see those little flopsters attempt to operate a computer that isn't their own, and I doubt those same people can operate microsoft office. I was thinking things like, wow this dancing is wonderful, how can this not make someone smile, gaga was the best choice, them vocals! where's the Intel stuff etc. I loved it the first view. I knew when I came here I'd see alot of complaints for some reason. Intel did hype it too much so maybe that was the problem.
