And she really should have spoken for herself alone tbh, if other artistes, want to show skin, so what? Does the fact that Gaga shows lots of skin distract from the fact that she's an amazing performer who sings well live, while covered up Katy still sounds like death? It plays into the idea that nudity is wrong and our bodies are somehow something to be hidden, even ashamed of. Katy obviously knows she still does it from time to time and isn't demonizing the practice, but I feel like this focus on keeping your clothes on is a nuisance that misses more important things about the person's character and thoughts.
