Why would you want to offend other people even tho you don't find it offensive?

When Lady Gaga wears fur she doesn't consider it offensive, but thousands of animal rights activists find it offensive. When Lady Gaga wears a latex habit with her nipples exposed and deep throats Rosary Beads she does not consider it offensive, but millions of Catholics consider it offensive. Lady Gaga still performs the song Gypsy without considering it offensive, knowing that the word gypsy has offensive racist connotations to many individuals.

You and I are fäggots, our existence is offensive to a significant number of people.

Offense isn't the worst offense.

No one would care, if he kept it between him and his black friend. The problem is he sent it out to millions of people.

Tom hanks is probably embarrassed by him. I would be. I'll never understand why people of other races wanna use the n word so badly. Doesn't make u seem cool more like a douche or Jamie Kennedy in Malibu's most wanted.. :smh:

Well, it's certainly not a word I would feel comfortable using, but if his friend is alright with it, then I don't have a problem. But I can also understand if others are very offended by it. It's a very very nasty word.

I've called friends (and have had friends call me) words like "c*nt," "slut" and "b*tch" in a playful manner, but we are really comfortable with each other so it's okay (with us). An outsider might be (understandingly) upset if they heard our conversations. I try not to do it around lots of other people, so I can get why people may get upset in this situation.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Gianni Versace

I really wanted to just ignore it and I could've let it slide if it weren't for his idiotic rambling.

"Look, I know the majority of y'all are not going to get this because the history is still so fresh in our country but hip-hop isn't about race. It's about the culture you identify with, and can't no-one tell me what I can't say."

He sounds like an entitled brat. I'm sure he had no discriminatory narratives but the fact that he thinks other cultures are free for him to pick and choose from is appalling. Why should he, being a rich, young, white male, be able to adopt certain cultures of people who are criminalized and discriminated against solely based on that culture and not feel any of the heat? He's trying to get the best of both worlds and it isn't right. Not to mention his complete obliviousness toward the origins of hip-hop. (though I'm not one to say that white people shouldn't make hip hop music)

If hes fine with that, then sure, call him that if you want. However, 1 black person condoning the word doesnt represent the views of all black people. Hes basically saying, 'i can call black people the n word and its fine because my black friend said so!' which is a ridiculous argument.

and the views of people who are irrelevant in his life matter more than those of his friend because..? :proud:

Because he sent it out to them. If it was an agreement that the N word was used as a term of endearment between himself and his friend, that's where he should keep it. He shouldn't expect others to feel the same about a racial slur that he and his friend have decided is okay to use between the two of them.

It's their choice to follow him or look upon his account, not his ****ing problem :proud:
