Sister

I hate this even more than I usually dislike her stuff.

She's pretty though

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

She's so dull and has no personality in her music or videos that I've seen. She's just safe and stands for nothing from what I can tell. Boring. At least Gaga is polarizing and gets a reaction for better or worse.

and Katy's pop niche has officially been threatened :applause:

everything about this song and video feels Katy Perry to me, but it's pretty catchy and good but WAY TOO juvenile

Well she is still young and probably wanted to make fun pop carefee album till its "normal" for her age. This song seems more efortless for me than what Katy´ calculated-for-radio- songs sound.

I really like this genre change for now. It will only be weird if she freezes on the basic pop for another couple of albums like Katy did. I hope this is not Taylor´s case and she will make meaningful albums in future.

I knew official pop Taylor would be trouble.

Yet her sales aren't on the cold hard ground

I don't like the song too much, honestly; it gives me the same reaction most people have to TIHWD. I would've been here for IKYWT, WANEGBT, even YBWT (lol singles).

Big Machine and Republic Records have pulled off an unprecedented feat, as Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" has closed the entire Top 40 panel in less than 24 hours--a first in Pop radio history. Charlie Walk, Gary Spangler and team, having knocked down Pop in record time, are already preparing a repeat performance at Hot AC next week.

Alongside this unquestionable triumph at these formats comes an intriguing question: Why has Country radio so far made the choice not to jump in with its biggest artist? As of noon today, only 10 Country stations have played the song even once; only WSIX Nashville and WNSH New York have spun it more than once.

Will the Country format ignore its biggest artist's new work and attempt to "A&R" her career, suppressing any attempt at stylistic exploration? Doesn't her legion of fans get a vote?

For the record, Taylor fans have already made their voices heard, as the single and album 1989, now in preorder and due 10/27, have both hit #1 at iTunes.
