I'm not worried at all and I will tell you why: She took Stanislowsky and method acting lessons since the age of 11, she evolved through theater and plays during her school years and also acted during her performances and in her music videos - I think she's very gifted with that talent, too. She will surprise us all again, you will see.

I'm only worried about the writing, Ryan Murphy has ruined a lot of things

I loved her acting in the Marry the Night video and the short parts in films were good. I have full faith in her that she will be good.

Anyone who is going to base their perception of her ability to act off of Sin City, Machete Kills or any of her music videos doesn't really get acting. Those films/videos are highly stylized. And, even at that, I feel as though her work within those stylizations is very good.

Agreed.

I don't really like his work. But that's my opinion.

Her acting as Jo during the VMA performance was really good IMO. I was shocked at how well she played it.

It's not Gaga so much that I'm worried about. I like the show, so let me preface by saying that, but as much as I DO like it, each season is hectic. It will have too many plots, change manically; it's almost as if they start strong with an idea but then write the rest as they go and base a lot of it on what they read on twitter and how to scare people.  A campfire punchline scare tactic doesn't make for quality, it's just a way to scare someone at that very moment and move on. I just feel like if they wrote a cohesive season and then filmed as they planned instead of writing it/changing it as they go, it could be really good, instead of "it has some cool ideas but never sticks with anything long enough to flesh out".
