The melody is less repetitive, the lyrical propositions are clearer, the production is less cluttered, and the story is more affecting (for me). Overall, I appreciate the backstory of "The Edge of Glory" more than the actual song itself. I still like it a lot, but I wouldn't rank place it among her best.
