I made a thread like this when Gypsy leaked and I want to know how things have changed. Which power ballad is superior?

Think:

- lyrics

- vocals

- production

- song structure

- uniqueness

- overall quality

Gypsy is nice too, but it's overrated imo

Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride

TEOG. It's one of the best Gaga songs ever, while Gypsy is.... There is no need for discussion. Close the thread

Two of my favorites! Imo Gypsy is lyrically better but the production and energy on TEOG is just too strong. I have to go with that one. Clarence's solo is just

I love Gypsy and the ending with all the countries is such a good idea to end the song, but in the long run TEOG has more longevity and is more iconic. Can't really explain why the song is just still wonderful

"Gypsy" is the better song. The melody is less repetitive, the lyrical propositions are clearer, the production is less cluttered, and the story is more affecting (for me).

Overall, I appreciate the backstory of "The Edge of Glory" more than the actual song itself. I still like it a lot, but I wouldn't rank place it among her best. The saxophone bit is heart-stopping, though.
