MahoganySnitch 67
No clue. This is all too fishy to me...and if this was indeed Brown's crime, why announce it six days after the fact? The fact that it wasn't mentioned in the tapes makes me uber suspicious.
craig 680
Black cop gets unjustly blamed on social media for being the shooter. Oh the irony.http://fox2now.com/2014/08/15/the-other-darren-wilson-st-louis-city-sergeant-not-the-cop-who-shot-michael-brown/
Morphine Prince 109,692
The looting that went on earlier in the week was so unnecessary imo. It just makes blacks look bad plus now that they are saying Brown was robbing a store, they will make everyone look like criminals and the police like the saviors. That's the thing though, (and just like what I told Prometheus), why wait till six days after to reveal the reason, and why wasn't it mentioned in the dispatch tapes if it was indeed Brown's crime? It doesn't add up. And to some, the conflation of looters + protesters is already happening.
No Angel 128
K. I'm about to post a few articles. The looting that went on earlier in the week was so unnecessary imo. It just makes blacks look bad plus now that they are saying Brown was robbing a store, they will make everyone look like criminals and the police like the saviors. Yep. There will always be a bunch of opportunists waiting to strike at any moment. But the media never wants to portray blacks in a good way, so this was bound to happen. Even during Hurricane Katrina when people were trying to find food and clothes just for safety, they were being called looters. Saddening. No Angel 128
Darren Wilson identified as Michael Brown's killer Witness Speaks Media Bias How congressional gridlock affects Ferguson Looking for a surveillance article now! Side note: Do you guys think it took them six days to come up with a scenario or..? In between that, the Ferg. Police stalled allowing this the shooter to delete all the traces of himself from the web..?
Gov Hooka 8,008
http://youtu.be/GVrziJOe5x0 Can you imagine being them? well the crowd did start to get violent in this particular protest, something which a majority of the people don't know. They were throwing cocktail bottles (according to the local news and reporters on St. Louis Fox 2 News and Channel 4 KMOV, 2 bottles were thrown) at the police which instigated the tear gas. No Angel 128
People are saying the Police officer's name and Surveillance footage were purposely released at the same time with them putting emphasis on the cop having no previous record. Interesting.
Gov Hooka 8,008
A big question coming out today is why in the world the Ferguson Police Department is 95% White, while its residents are 60% Black? Do they not allow Black people on the force, or something? Also, there is only one woman on the entire force, 62% of the residents in the city I live in are Black. Black police officers make up 52% of the force. Also, 20% of the police force are females. I find it very strange that the Ferguson police force is basically all White males. Well actually, only 3 black officers are in the force because they are the ONLY 3 who chose to be in the force. In this particular case, it's up to the community to want to be more involved in law enforcement, and as you have seen, this community like a majority of Northside STL has been in hardships for quite a while. I wish that there were more recruitment programs or something among the youth to try and get them involved in the force, but it hasn't happened. It's a difficult situation, not so one-sided as this. The night is definitely not over, but the Ferguson streets are actually quieting down at the moment...? I'm not sure if I can believe it or not. Did Highway Patrol really play a role in this? Definitely. the Ferguson police were completely off the mark with the way they handled this situation, at best I want the Chief to be fired once this is all over. No Angel 128
Police are constantly saying they do not know how many times Michael Brown was shot, despite there being an autopsy performed. (At least I thought it was performed?) Edited August 15, 2014 by No Angel
Gov Hooka 8,008
these two observations are :trootea: Darren Wilson has no history of disciplinary action. Come to think of it, no police officer in this department has a history of disciplinary action. They had five days to scrub all of the files, emails and posts. It is easy to fake a facial "swelling" injury. I'm calling BULL**** to the convenience store footage. At least the witness account from Brown's friend will incriminate the officer in court. here's the stills from the alleged footage.

Do you think they intentionally released the footage and the officer's name at the same time? (Added this to the OP, too) Oh, this article is very important, too. • The Day Ferguson Cops were caught in a Lie: The officers got the wrong man, but charged him anywayâ€â€with getting his blood on their uniforms. How the Ferguson PD ran the town where Michael Brown was gunned down. • Brown's friend Dorian Johnson will not be charged with robbery. I find it hard to believe there haven't been hardly any (except 3) black men or women that would have ben interested in being on a police department for the last thirty years, or so. There must be some reason why black men and women of every race feel that there isn't a place for them on this police force. Other racially integrated cities and counties have changed the demographics of their police force, as the demographics of their cities or counties have changed. The changing population of Ferguson has been a gradual change from the 70s. It is highly suspicious that the force hasn't gradually changed with the changing demographic of this county, as they have had several decades to do so. Of course, there seems to be quite a bit of highly suspicious red flags concerning this police force. The good ole boy network is still alive and well in many parts of America, and not only does it hold back and discriminate against non-whites and women, it also discriminates against the LGBT community. These kind of networks can be extremely harmful to a community and potentially very dangerous.
