They were criticized and called out for the downturn of their careers. And why so? Because media only report on what actually happens, regardless of how favourable or unfavourable it might be for the celebrities. Public interest over them always goes down anyway. Nowhere did I mention that the public isn't interested in Gaga. It just so happened that we cannot deny that interest over her is poor, as reflected by the sales. And there's nothing wrong about it. It's simply inevitable, as shown by the careers of almost every public figure. : An artist packing venues in the US, Canada and other parts of the world does not show "poor interest". An artist selling over 2.3 million albums worldwide and being in the top 10 albums of the year, does not show poor interest by the public. An artist having two hit songs, one well over double platinum and the other platinum, (that one which went top 5 in Canada, UK, and other places) does not equate to poor interest. Your personal interest may be poor, and you may have moved on to other artists, but that doesn't mean that everyone in the US and other parts of the world feels like you do. Public interest can go down, especially from the out of this world high levels it was at a few years back, but that doesn't equate to "poor interest". So, yes we can't deny that. She needs a strong promo. To me perfect time is her June break. She could perform it and shoot the video. Mark my word : releasing Gypsy while she can't do any promotion would be a huge mistake... Just be patient... The problem is there's nothing supporting the era (the tour is, I guess). Having payola and a tour video would be enough. Or perhaps ask fans to send in their videos as well. Gypsy wouldn't be about being artistic but about having a hit. People love cheesy stuff like that. The problem with waiting till June is that too much time would have gone and ARTPOP is already like a zombie right now. Sadly this it's gonna happen, you're right, but 'Gypsy' deserves a really well done music video and a radio contract, and these 2 things are not gonna happen because she is busy on tour right now and the label seems not available to spend more money (they don't even did it for GUY after the big budget for the video), but I hope to be wrong. Or at least they're gonna release in the next months a video for Gypsy with the footage of the tour They shouldn't wait too long. Wait too long and them might as well not bother. There is actually BIG point in releasing Gypsy even without promoting it... Sadly this is totally true, and I got this especially when I talk to my friends, during the TFM and BTW people (that they know that I am a big fan of her) speak always to me about Gaga and the things that she did (video, performances, outfits), people text me when there was an award or something epic to talk about, now I totally see the uninterested from them in Gaga and so the GP. I think that Gaga in her 5 years of career excluding the ARTPOP era, has done so many things like she had more than 10 years of career and like she is on the business from a very long time, that now is very difficult keep high the interesting from GP, but I'm sure that she will have a new exploit in the future (like it happened to Mariah and Madonna), she only needs the right project. I don't want her to waste another single. To me it's too soon. Promotion really doesn't matter with a third or fourth single. It all comes down to radio support! If radio will support it enough to get over 10 million AI on any one format, then you can see if the public will respond favorably to it or not! After that, she could send out a quick and easy video and do a couple of performances, but that's about it. The best situation would be to get it on a commercial, that is run on a frequent basis. At this point, I can't really see that happening. They could release a fourth, but it will be treated like a fourth single by radio, which is what happens for every other artist with current music on the charts. Radio has its faults, but not as much as her management, that wasnt able to build some interest around it with some standard promo moves. Im sure that the GP doesnt even know that GUY exists. Nope, this one lies directly at the feet of radio...no two ways about it. They killed the song, before it ever had a chance. Getting it added to the radio stations, and the AT top 40 spins, we're due to promo and the label working the stations.
