A child star with the standard delayed maturity that makes them incredibly self-centered for their years, mixed with more self-awareness than most of them, due to years of therapy. That means she has a certain amount of knowledge about her personal addictions, but approaches it with an immature viewpoint. That's why she completely missed that Gaga's performance wasn't in any way "glamorizing" bulimia.Anyone could see that it was just the opposite! Demi is too focused on herself to see anything past herself and her personal problems. She will eventually grow out of it, just much later than the average young adult. And look at your average SXSW attendee...and 18-25 year old who is more into Alt. Rock, Rap, Experimental music and even country. You didn't see a bunch of gay guys dressed up in seashell bikinis at her SXSW concert, did you? LOL What you did see was A LOT of plaid, plain T shirts and dark colors. I'm just glad the GP likes her again. So as long as she doesn't keep up the anti-corporate act I am okay with her. haha That part is what annoyed me to no end. She's a pop star signed to a major label at a hugely funded media festival. It's not exactly indie or punk. Her music should speak for her sometimes. Heh. And a bunch of the fans are concerned with Gaga's success more than they are about their own feelings towards her and her work.
