aaronyoji 2,053
I know, but when you're given a slot at a high profile festival, where she can try and win over the General public, she is a mess… like come on. i expected better from her, not a drunken shell of former Gaga. see this is exactly why she did this performance, she doesnt want to "win' anyone back, especially a bunch of lamestream morons that only project these boundraies and rules on the artist. it makes her sick and so she rolled around in vomit. Elizabeth 450
I don't think Gaga is "ok" in the sense of she's absolutely 100% happy/fine/swell/perfect and I still think she's struggling with addiction/depression/ect., but I feel as though the performance was probably therapeutic for her in some ways. I felt she was really going back to her roots in terms of the production of the performance and the more "rock n roll" vibes it gave me. I felt most of the performance had quite dark undertones. It was "messy" but I feel it made sense that way, a clean cut performance just wouldn't have been able to fulfil her needs and allow her to get across the points she wanted to. I think it made sense for the environment and atmosphere of SXSW. Idk I think I'll have more thoughts on this once I've been able to watch the performance over again and consider it more. miss anthropy 0
I think it made sense for the environment and atmosphere of SXSW. Agree with this totally. It was messy, but it fit the vibe of SXSW. However, I don't think she should carry on like this for the Roseland and Artrave shows. It would just turn-off way too many people. Even a lot of fans here on GGD did not like it. There's a risk that the Artrave arena tour might end up being the Artrave club tour. But if she's happier that way than

But if she's happier that way than I agree and I don't think there's any way Roseland or artRAVE will be like this. I think they'll be a lot "cleaner" (for lack of a better word) and more structured? I think there will be many similar elements but it'll be overall a very different vibe.
LadyCaligula 0
Came off as a bit poserish...like she isn't metal and trying to act like a badass bc shes at SXSW was cringeworthy...just do not get it. The show was messy and boring, IDK.
