It may be in Gaga, in R Kelly, in both of them, in the video, the promo, definitely not the song.. I say Gaga + Video. Applause did well because it did great in radio, had a video for streaming which did more than enough, and had the hype of a lead single. If Gaga wasn't as hated it would have done much better I'm sure. DWUW has no video for streaming, does not have the hype for the lead single, and many still avoid Gaga. All it had left was radio. Talk Dirty slayed in Europe first I knew that, I was only talking about America + I wasn't only referring to TD but all the genericness that slated the charts the past year ..... I mean look at Selena Gomez's lead single It performed almost as Applause, Imagine if Applause was released as It was scheduled early Spring .. She wouldn't have been outshined by Katy and everything would've been different but oh well ...
