Reviewers who trashed ARTPOP and gave it same scores as prism and the public who prefers songs like Harlem Shake, gangnam style, and roar? Did Gaga took a risk with BTW ? Yes she did ! Did she took a risk with the blackout ? Yes she did ! Right now is NOT THE TIME for risks When has Gaga been a non factor ? Seriously. This is the first time she is lacking buzz/presence and yall are like "Let's make her look even worse in the Gp's eyes" And Let's stop argue about that ... If Gypsy gets released as a third single, that alone will be a proof to yall that It has bigger potential (otherwise it won't be released) She already tried safe with DWUW tho... Although Bloody Mary makes perfect sense at times (the same as ARTPOP) but Venus on the other hand is a complete BS And people say Bad Romance is weird "I want your ugly/decease/everything " this means that she wants / loves everything about you. ARTPOP is a really great song, but it's really not single material. I can compare it to Bloody Mary... amazing song, but not something that could promote the album... Changing the radio station won't help because ARTPOP will be played at all stations ARTPOP can promote the album the best in my opinion, better than Gypsy. It's the title track, after all. I'm not saying it flopped but I really doubt it can become a top 5 hit, something that was unthinkable when it was announces as a single. It had promo on snl, the voice, and AMAs, and it still didn't reach that high. Unless the video or Xtina remix go viral DWUW won't become an Applause sized hit. Perhaps in radio it might... Let's just not argue about any of this. Let's look at the facts: ARTPOP will not become a single. Never say never. She should make it a single though. Enough with the predictable choices... Unconditionally with a video and 80m AI which is clearly a more releatable song flops which is Ok because people may not be here for this. But all of a sudden, when Capitol announces DH as the next single everyone buys it... Some very dirty game is played here. There is NO WAY so many people are buying the song. I saw in twitter that there have posted only 70 tweets with Dark Horse the last hour. Also the streams are low and do not explain the popularity. Thoughts? The definition of payola. It's nowhere on radio spins compared to the rest of the Top 10 (or DWUW) and has almost no promo or buzz yet it's holding strong in the Top 5 which makes no sense. As soon as Beyonce came out and slayed DH exploded in sales... Everyone on major labels (Gagz included) is under different payola deals from time-to-time, but Capitol must be having yard sales to pay for this. And y'all still expect something groundbreaking that will appeal to everyone Gaga has been doing her own thing since Alejandro (with the videos) ... TEOG could've had the most epic video ever, but look how It ended up.
