It still has the top radio increase of any other song in 2013, including JT's comeback single, after being gone for 7 years! Look how JT's album sold the first week it was out, it's not like there wasn't off the charts interest in his new music. When Unconditionally has a radio increase 40 spins under The Monster's highest radio increase, that tells you something about how radio is all over Katy's songs. I still hear them everywhere I go, 'Applause' was a moderate hit in Italy respect the popularity of her previous songs... DWUW had a better response from italian GP but without the video, you know... Gaga still is very popular here but especially in the gay community (blogs, disco, ecc). That article was definitely unprofessional but is true that Gaga is less popular respect her previous era here in Italy especially if we talk outside the LGBT community... In the BTW era also the Television News always talked about her, but not now.. I always see her on studio aperto or pomeriggio5. I always hear Applause and DWUW on TV especially on SKY! I was talking about gay disco, of course. :) Studio aperto tho do they still show a bunch of "news" about semi/quasi nude girls? any time I watched studio aperto they usually start with morbid news about deaths and murders (does that happen that often in Italy) and there's always sad piano music and it usually finishes with models at least back when I used to watch Italia Uno.
