Venus was performed at the muppets, Gypsy was performed at the muppets and SNL. I think Gypsy will do the same, maybe even worse than DWUW at the charts. If people want to listen to save sweet songs they will go listen to Katy Perry, Taylor Swift or One Direction. After 2 pretty safe singles Gaga should try something different and release a fun and weird song. That's probably what people want from Gaga. I love Gypsy but I would love it to be the 5th and last single after Venus and G.U.Y Venus was performed at xFactor, Graham Show, SMAP X SMAP. And it didn't have impact on iTunes, Gypsy had. This is the US Charts thread a few weeks ago someone posted how apart from the US in most countries Venus was ahead of Gypsy on iTunes.... Applause went to top 5 and venus did not even touch the top 100. If Japan a country who loves crazy stuff didn't like venus.. Venus isn't a song you instantly like. You need to hear it 2 or 3 times to get into it, but that's the whole point. you may not understand the song at the 1st listen but people will be interested in it and listen to it more often because it's so different. It's a more difficult way but when it succeeds to keep the attention it will smash. Venus is actually more basic than Gypsy verse 1>pre chorus>chorus>verse 2>pre chorus>chorus>bridge>chorus. While Gypsy's structure is more diverse.
