Stefani328 321
Songs like Venus aren't slaying the charts right now. It seems like for the last year or so the GP have been leaning towards ballad like songs that are somewhat upbeat but not really electronic.
Klou 2,414
When all is said and done I bet DWUW will be just a bit more successful than Judas worldwide.

Yet Dark Horse, a Trap/Electronic combo is continuing it's rise.......... GP clearly wants new, and it's honestly time to deliver.
GypsyGaga 0
I don't necessarily think Gypsy is the answer to our prayers, however. I just have a hard time believing Venus will do that well. It just doesn't sound especially commercial to me. It has a very limited demographic I think with little crossover appeal, which won't help airplay. The inner critic in me thinks it's a tad messy as well. There's not much for the general public to relate to there. I'm sure most would disagree with me 100%, but I've actually begun favoring potential singles like G.U.Y., MANiCURE, Sexx Dreams or even ARTPOP. I think those sound the most instantly Gaga-like, which is something I think is hurting DWUW. They're all catchy and could have some great remixes/videos. Unfortunately, however, I don't see more than one more top 10 being pumped out of this album unless Interscope and Gaga pull something amazing and unexpected out of their sleeve. True but the thing is that even gaga has mentioned this before: Lady Gaga doesnt follow trends, she starts them

Stefani328 321
Yet Dark Horse, a Trap/Electronic combo is continuing it's rise.......... GP clearly wants new, and it's honestly time to deliver. DH still isn't the typical electronic song with fast beats. It has a much slower tempo. Plus, look at album sales? It's January and sales are in the toilet? If Venus flops, I don't want to imagine how much the album will be selling weekly. Venus is an amazing song and I love seeing Gaga perform it, especially at artRave, but I just don't see it single material. Singles sell albums. Marco 731
I kind of want ARTPOP or Dope as the third single. I'd be happy with Gypsy too.
DWUWPerez 98
Am I the only one that is still holding out for a controversial video? Gaga said a month and a half ago that it will shock the media.. I really didn't want a controversial video, but at this point, it would be the only thing that could push DWUW to become a top 10 hit.

I hope I'm wrong though :emo: I'm not expecting it, but if she says it's more suggestive/controversial than the SNL performance I think it could drum up enough publicity for the song. Look at Wrecking Ball, but of course there's always the possibility that people wouldn't be shocked with Gaga doing it..

Looking at the singles on the album, let's a--lyze for a second before we jump to anything: Aura- no way, MK promo and that's enough VENUS- a difference that introduces the rest of the album (esp. GUY), this is just what needs to be released, as monsters have been waiting for a WHILE G.U.Y.- my fourth single choice Sexxx Dreams- radio editing would kill it, but it's a good one to think about J&D- maybe on rap stations, since it's actually something that isn't that bad for r&b/rap charts, plus the fact T.I. is on it would sell it MANiCURE- actually a possibility, and other artists (Adele) have supported it, but if Gaga isn't looking for electronic/rock combos, then there's no need DWUW - we'll be lucky if this single reaches Top 10 at this moment ARTPOP- def. cool, but not radio friendly Swine- too dubstep/aggressive, with lyrics not being relatable Donatella- maybe for a versace fashion show Fashion!- filler MJH- cool, but definitely not something that people are going to want to jam to Dope- peaked at #8, let's not overkill it Gypsy- there are a few good lyrics, and the beat is interesting, but it's not a ballad, nor is it electronic. stuck in the middle, therefore i can't see it performing too well Applause - Peaked at #4, past
