Really omg guys this lady gaga's best album, and this album is what made me a little monster!!! And what kills me the mist is that people keeps on ignoring MANiCURE can i know why? But those 2 months of it being in the top 10 on iTunes were glorious. I'll be glad when it's finally certified 2X Plat and we can add it to her list of multi-platinum singles. But yes, she should be more active with her app and release, say, a b-side every two months just for YOU guys, the die-hards - while the actual official releases are another thing. That way everyone is happy and LM's have something to munch on and not go into disaster/abandonment mode, haha. I hope that will be the case. It's not the songs that help her expand her fanbase anymore in my opinion. Or at least, not the kind of fanbase that goes to your tour. I don't know many people who simply listened to a song and instantly became a fan. Adele for example, while having huge success, has a small active fanbase. Most of her fans are passive fans who simply enjoy and buy the music. Same with other artists like Katy Perry and Pink. Then you have the artists with a huge 'stan'-base, which is built with tons of things; but not simply the songs. A song can't make somebody a fan, perhaps a whole album can, but not hearing a song on the radio. Gaga, One Direction, Madonna, Britney Spears and Justin Bieber have a massive stanbase - they buy anything the artist brings out, travel from the other side of the globe to see their favourite artist and buy $500 tickets to see them live. Next to that, they buy anything related to the artist - perfume, etc. This shows in the success that the Fame perfume was compared to let's say Katy's perfume which she did promote quite a lot. The stanbase which Gaga has built is not just from her songs, it's because of the live versions of her songs, it's because of the craziness that appealed people, it's because of the support to gay rights and activism, it's because of her tours, it's because of the visuals in her music videos, look at how many people changed their opinions on Gaga or Christina after The Voice performance. That's quite a lot. This era she hasn't been gaining many fans, because she doesn't promote a lot anymore, she doesn't release stunning videos anymore, she doesn't wear shiny and pretty things anymore that make the gays go 'YAAAS!'. She doesn't have that craziness and fierceness that made all teen girls love her. I know I'm really generalizing, but it's the truth. What do Cher, Madonna and Britney Spears all have in common?
