Essence 243
I'm ready for Gaga to have the dominating single out of the pop girls. May not happen just yet since Dark Horse is coming god i'm gonna dread turning on the radio and hearing dark horse...i genuinely dislike that song is it confirmed as the third single? if they're rushing it out this era is very born this way esque for katy except gaga opened with 700k without 99 c and katy opened with 300 k hehehe and at least judas made top ten just saying same thing happened with roar, luckily i don't have to deal with unconditionally too much

It's like radio is forcing it to be a single NOW whether Capital likes it or not

Mariano 958
did katy perform somewhere ? I'm ready for Gaga to have the dominating single out of the pop girls. May not happen just yet since Dark Horse is coming I prefer Gypsy to be Gaga's moment tho ... DWUW IS flawless but It's a collab and with all that competition .. I Think Gypsy being the 3rd single around feb/march will be perfect because Dark Horse will be at It's peak then and will be probably falling down and Gypsy willbe climbing
MarcsARTPOP 1
It's official already??? Omg another slayage is coming.... what is DHoh Dark horse hahaha
pie-kun 1,765
did katy perform somewhere ? Unconditionally was performed on The Voice by one of the contestants...often times this can cause a song to have a huge boost in sales because The Voice tends to get good ratings but...the effect for Unconditionally seems to be negligible at the moment. It got one good update that caused it to gain one spot, but it seems to have stopped increasing already and the cover version isn't selling nearly as well as many of the other cover versions released from The Voice tonight. Hey Brother and Story of My Life, which were also performed, have gotten much bigger increases. I think this single is officially a dud lol. Even when it was showing signs of underperforming, I figured it would still sell 2M and hit top 10, but that's becoming ever more unlikely as the days go on. It's pretty much top 10 on radio, has its video out, has had a major award show performance and was performed on a very popular American TV show and it has yet to go top 10 on iTunes once . Just when you thought Katy was incapable of putting out a flop single ever again.
MarcsARTPOP 1
Don't you think ARTPOP era is becoming more like a singles era?? The singles in ARTPOP have so much potential.
MarcsARTPOP 1
Okay, so where do you think Do What U Want will chart at its peak???? I don't think it can reach No.1 IMO :/
Lucisgaga 38
Don't you think ARTPOP era is becoming more like a singles era?? The singles in ARTPOP have so much potential. What?! Aside from Gypsy, every other single is risky

And applause really helped Gaga get back massive radio support, which will help for the rest of the era! It's longetivity is really incredible
Mills 446
I'm ready for Gaga to have the dominating single out of the pop girls. May not happen just yet since Dark Horse is coming I'm still under the impression that neither Timber nor TM would peak this December. If ever, I believe those two would seriously compete with DH for that 2014's first smash hit title.
VforVendetta 2,024
I feel so bad for Gaga knowing she recorded that video and the song is pretty much guaranteed to flop if released as a single. I personally think she should have released it as a single in select countries while DWUW was the single in the major markets similar to Eh Eh. I still believe that Venus could smash with an amazing video tbh. Maybe I am delusional but I do.
Mills 446
Yeah, her success is thoroughly label fueled, but, frankly, what pop star's success isn't based off of being supported by a major label? Or a team that has the right industry connections. Exactly. No one is exempted on that, including Gaga. Hence the argument to lambast any other pop star's career solely because they have an effective support team isn't valid at all. ALL major artists' successful careers are driven by the labels' backing one way or another. And let's not even regard wanting for success as though it's a crime to be ashamed of. The music industry is still a business first and foremost.
