I agree that she shouldn't hype to the stars her next singles/albums (like, announce it 1-2 days before, to prevent the leaks too), but the surprise release has already been made and she doesn't need to follow all the trends. It's short, sweet, fun, dark yet with a sense of airiness and lightness. But there were a few things I feel should've been improved to make it flawless. I don't like how the choreography was showcased: the four 'claps' around her head and behind her back during the "A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E" could've been ICONIC, but on the second chorus you can only see three of them, and on the last chorus the editing is chopped to hell. And the messy editing/cuts is the second issue. Thirdly, I think there's so many cool parts of the video. Like that spinny thing in the background of a few scenes with the colored dancers? What was that? And the fallen angel outfit where she's hanging from the ceiling? That's so tight! But it literally comes in millisecond long flashes throughout the video.
