Because the director, Gary Ross, demands a raise for his salary, but Lionsgate won't give out, yet. That surprised me, I thought it would be maybe half full but then I guess it was a bank holiday here yesterday. Still love the film, I just wonder if they could maybe have made some of the pre arena stuff a bit shorter so we get more action in the arena. Also the audience were kinda weird, no shrieking children like last time thank god but even Effie's & Haymitch's lines weren't getting any laughs. I heard on the news lastnight that he goes 5% of whatever the film makes, and I'm assuming that's domestically since Lionsgate isn't distributing the film overseas. Regardless, he has already made $14 million from the film domestically. That of course doesn't include the money that he received right from the get-go when he signed on to the film.
