Ronk 14,762
And Worldwide, Gaga still has 2 songs and an album in the top 10, and Applause is still at #5 on radio. I live outside the space time continuum.
Ronk 14,762
Roar says hi ! Roar should be ready to say hi when they someday cross paths on the charts. Quality music has longevity. Basic music eventually gets tiresome. I live outside the space time continuum.

Roar is an instantly catchy (even if I don't like it) song that was designed for Pop Radio; however Applause is actually an odd song for Pop radio and it's not very relatable in it's message. The fact that it's pefromed this well shows the weight that her name carrys on a song because no one else could've pulled this off, and it also shows that not everyone is here for a basic empowerment song. In turn thought it does mean that it won't sell as fast or as largely as a song like Roar which is just more universally appealing.

She is not writing for the charts. ARTPOP is Gaga's artistic dream, and even if the public isn't there for art she is doing the right thing. Like the great artists in every field, she is ahead of the public's taste and she will bring us along as she advances pop music to a higher level. As she said in an old interview, she's not a song or a moment, she's an artist. This is my opinion, and we will see in a few years how much the public is loving Gaga's songs from this era versus songs of other artists that were written at the same time. Time will tell. I live outside the space time continuum.
