enriquelm 73
What is Dark horse doing in the top 10?
Runway 27,876
The Netherlands is barely even relevant in music. It did fine in Japan and she didn't even perform it in the U.K You can remain delusional as if it was some major flop. SPILL!!!

Gurl, The Netherlands is the #8 music market just below Australia
Arturo 40,746
What is Dark horse doing in the top 10? It was already in the Top 20 so it got a push from her album release. Gurl, The Netherlands is the #8 music market just below Australia And Australia is still really small considering you only need 70,000 copies to go Platinum. Anything smaller than that is just...small.
Bye 3,947
Besides major music market or not a huge smash hit should be heard in every corner of the world. Now a smash song like that would leave real impact where wherever you may go you can hear it and everyone will know it. Like poker face and bad romance. Lady 748
i'm entitled to an opinion, some people here are so silly, just because apparently this was solely produced by gaga they are like blowing this out of proportion, i'm zorry, i find DWUW more appealing in every way, lyrics that make a statement and showcasting her true talent both vocally and lyrically venus totally distorsionates her voice !!! It's much easier to reach Platinum in Australia though, not just with sales. It's not like they precisely calculate it so it's just as easy in every country to reach Platinum. Applause didn't go Top 10 in Australia and already went Platinum. Roar is nearing 6x Platinum.
enriquelm 73
It was already in the Top 20 so it got a push from her album release. Oh well Off toppic: Applause video surpassed 90 million views. 90.637.
Bt1 5,213
And I haven't heard it on radio yet. It basically flopped in the UK, France, the Netherlands, Japan (for a Gaga single), Australia, New Zealand. I wouldnt call a top 10 song a flop and Applause was top 10 in UK, France, Japan and New Zealand and it is platinum in Australia.

Applause never went Top 10 on the official Japanese charts. Just admit it already, Applause was a flop WW. Judas was too, and yet it peaked in the Top 10 in the US, Australia, France, Sweden, Canada, UK (and the Japanese chart you're talking about) and yet it's considered a flop. Freddy 4,421
Just heard the second snippet of Venus and the instrumental version. Releasing DWUW as the second single is the best decision they could make.
