I hope...Lol, what scares me is that Prism will probably be #1 till his release, then itll go 2 but idk if ARTPOP would be able to go #2 tbh

Ill be pissed if it 1.MMLP2 2.Prism 3.ARTPOP but I think thats worse case scenario

Uhmmm... there's no way Prism will still at the top 3 until Gaga's album release.

She's not Adele.

Didn't The Fame Monster out sell Recovery? And Applause has easily outsold Berzerk, so she can out-sell him

Worldwide it did. Recovery sold the bulk of its sales in the US.

Born To Slay

No. Recovery outsold TFM both in the US and WW. In fact, Recovery also outsold TF in the US by a little margin. And as for Berzerk, it sold more than Applause in terms of opening week sales as well. It debuted with 362K, peaking at #3 in the HOT 100 chart. And aside from that, rappers generally do not move single sales as much as pop stars. Lil Wayne is a good examples of that. He only has one #1 hit throughout his entire career, but he has given some of the biggest opening week album sales in recent history. Same goes with the likes of Drake, Jay Z, Kanye, and yes Eminem.

But wont Gaga be able to outsell his 2nd week on her first week and Gaga could pull sales of 400k

But Roar is huge

In 2010 TFM sold more WW than recovery. Total sales to date I'm not sure.

Kind of funny when you think about it... 700k album debut without having to sing a single note on the entire album....the life of a rapper right there lol.

I really want people to be talking about Gaga again. I'm scared for next week's SNL with Miley Cyrus tbh. She could make some big headlining moves that could keep people talking about her enough to go buy her album. It seems like no one is talking about Gaga anymore  :ohno:

Katy isn't a huge album seller..atleast in her opening weeks. It takes her like 4 hit singles before people start buying her album. Also, if gaga actually does good promo, she could still pull huge opening week sales

Yes. TFM was the best-selling album worldwide in 2010. But reports say that Recovery has now sold over 10 million copies worldwide.

Here's an article back in 2012.

First of all, we arent talking about the possibilty that the first week sales of ARTPOP will be overshadowed by Eminem's album 2nd week sales.

and

So what if Roar is huge? :/

Will she start promoting SMS already? It's being released like less than a week already, right?

SMS is being released as a single? I assume she'll perform Wrecking Ball and another album track, but isn't SMS the Britney feature? I doubt she'd sing that

Wow I had no idea. It was a great record and by far my favorite of his, so can't really say it's not deserving.

I hope so. And speaking of outselling, I meant outselling in terms of comparing their first-week sales upon release, not necessarily a particular week-by-week sales comparison. It's rather unfair to compare Eminem's week 2 with Gaga's week 1.
