Plus they’ve all outrightly said Gaga inspired them the most to be popstars. Most of them even grew up listening to her music. JADE is more inspired by black artists like Beyoncé and Aretha Franklin. Although she loves Gaga. We just sort of associate any kind of camp performance lead artists with Gaga because people forget that Gaga shifted culture so much that her style is now just the norm for popstars. Realistically Gaga doesn’t REALLY have any “pop children” because nobody has outrightly imitated her, she’s still very unique. Whereas Beyoncé has been widely imitated by performers like Normani for example. Chappell is pretty close to her the most. Too obvious for the personas but musically, except Good Luck Babe which can share similar keys with BR I don’t see that much ressemblances... There are vocal fulgurances in her style but too much Kate Bush-y inspired. ADELA ? Maybe in term of strangeness, musical style and how she plays with her vocals. But Adela is still too much Grimes and K-pop scene inspired... Slayyyter ? Maybe too much Kesha-ish despite the fact that I see the originality of her interpretations. Gaga was being slammed by Madonna for being inspired by her... But despite the comparisons, musically she is closer to Bowie except that she does Dance-Pop. And I'd say that for her ballads she is clearly very influenced by Freddie Mercury, Elton and the Beatles. Gaga is known for her stuttering/hypnotizing lyrics, dark maximalist beats and for her theatrical, powerful way to sing. But I think she belongs to her very own category. She isn’t weird as Björk... Yet she still manages to be hardly imitable by the younger generation. Dude I wish there were more than one Gaga, but I guess that the audience will have to wait until this happens. In my peace era.
