While I love monster, it has become a Halloween song for me, which isn’t a bad thing but it’s overplayed. Killah has skyrocketed to my top 10 favorite Gaga songs

Idk if these would count as "hard vocals" to you, but looking through my music library.. I think the closest examples would be

Headstrong by Trapt
Long Way Down by Goo Goo Dolls
Humans Being by Van Halen
Going Down by Sick Puppies
Faint & Numb by Linkin Park

Most of those tracks all keep a sustained sound/melody throughout, though. I think my issue with Killah is how that section of the song totally derails the flow. I know some people love unexpected twists/turns & experimentalism, but I feel like the "twist" in Killah is just an unnecessary detour full of painful noise (scream/drums/synths & all). Humans Being detours at points too, & I always skip through that lol

I removed the bridge in garageband & I think it improves the song, while still keeping the funky flavor (I recommend Killah haters try doing that, it might help...)

I mean, the twist musically is also a thematic twist where the protagonist reveals that they weren’t just playing at being a “killah” in a sexy way, but is legitimately a murderer and kills their lover (at least that’s one way I conceptualize the bridge). But no shade, you also dislike one of Gaga’s better bridges (Just Dance) so I feel like your taste in music is a little set it and forget it (ie the song can only have one vibe). 
 

Also ns but we can’t be saying Goo Goo Dolls when we’re talking about heavy music, sister

That being said: the bridge instrumental is one of the best parts of the song (in spite of it not even being in the top 30, much less top 4).

I’ll give my vote to Killah! I think it’s a better song with more going on. 
 

Monster is classic and I’ll love it forever. I definitely have more memories of Monster!
