I still have such a warm spot for this song. Looking back on Chromatica and Gaga's mindset, I get why she wanted this one to be the lead. It's easily the most maximalist, joyful sounding from the album.

Eh, the lyrics are overhated, tbh. “I would battle for you (even if we break in two)” is a lyric I’ve always had a soft spot for

I was disappointed with this song when it leaked and even more disappointed when it was released. Her worst lead single by a mile.

Love the song, love the retro aesthetic, but unfortunately there were so many mistakes in the MV with lighting issues, weird framing, and editing choices.

And why it's the worst and least listenable to me :brat:

I don't believe in the glorification of murder, I do believe in the empowerment of women

Can't help but feel if this was released in the mid 00's it would have been a SMASH...

to this day i can’t wrap my mind around the fact that it was supposed to be her long awaited comeback to dance pop… i really go back and forth with either thinking it’s objectively her worst song ever or thinking it’s fine

the lyrics are too on the nose but not extremely bad, the lack of a chorus bothers me so much

I remember feeling weird towards PI when it came out but I ultimately ended up loving it but with Stupid Love… I never really grew fond of it

Also what does stupid love even mean?

ROM could’ve been the lead and 911 could’ve been a decent second single and then Sour Candy with a MV drop on the album’s release day
