zevthepaparazzo 748
Idk what "refreshing" means but I know you do So basically post ur fav albums that made you not dread the fall of pop music MY RANKING 1. MAYHEM - Lady Gaga Do I need to say anything? 2. Radical Optimism - Dulapipa I have ZERO clue why it flopped. Illusion, Maria, Training Season, Falling Forever, Watchu Doin, and Houdini are flerping BANGERZ that deserve more attention. 3. THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY - JADE my beloved This gives me hope that campy but not corporate pop music could still survive in our modern landscape. The theatricalness of songs like IT girl and AOMD brings me back to 2009. Also the FUFN video 4. Something Beautiful - Miley Cyrus Criminally slept on. Walk of Fame, EGYEL, Reborn, and Easy Lover have become my ANTHEMS for 2025. I kinda see people copying the distorted, abbaesque, fleetwoodmacian, saxophonic sound later this decade. 5. CRASH - Charli xcx Pop perfection. Need I say more? Lightning is so underrated too Honorable Mentions: Addison - Addison Rae It's aesthetic, but in a good way. BRAT - Charli xcx It's great don't get me wrong, but it's not the BEST album ever. Real close tho Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess - Chappell Roan I used to love this one, but I overplayed it and now I kinda hate it DON'T... FORGET! LOVEDRUG 10,898
Desire, I Want to Turn Into You by Caroline Polachek is my pick. I've never heard another album that sounds like such a classic and so distinctive and unique at the same time. It's even more impressive because I can't quite tell if I'd define it as a pop album. It's definitely at least indie pop/alternative pop, but it's almost in a subgenre of its own. If you haven't listened to it, you absolutely should, even if it's just taking the time to listen to one track like Fly to You or Sunset. "through all the tears and all the lies, i'm gonna dance until i feel alright" 2 3
RAMROD 111,105
- aya - hexed - Saya Gray - SAYA - Ela Minus - DIA - Momma - Welcome To My Blue Sky - horsegirl - phonetics on and on (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ Love is 4 walls, a mysterious maze (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡

TheARTPOPball 873
Short and Sweet by Sabrina Carpenter was a breath of fresh hot, sexy, nostalgic, summer air. Songs that made me feel 18 again. Did you know that theres a tunnel under ocean boulevard by Lana Del Rey provided just the right amount of moody, sensual, emotional, longing to become a huge highlight of the last 3 years and my opinion, the best of the 3 i will be mentioning. PORTALS by Melanie Martinez was also a huge part of my 2023 and an album i still appreciate to this day, much more so than her sophomore effort.

Outside of Mayhem, not much. Love the singles of Radical Optimism but the album did not keep up. “The Weight of Love” by Ryan Ritual and Chris Lake’s recent EDM album felt fresh and new to me.
