"This song was written as a peace offering for someone I had lost for a time but always loved. In my experience, forgiveness and freedom are one and the same.

Thank you to Lindsey Buckingham & Mick Fleetwood for bringing magic to the music.

This song is for my dad."

The beginning and chorus (?) of Secrets reminds me of another song of hers :oprah: I can't remember which one but I've heard something similar before... somewhere

Sounds a little reminiscent of End of the World to me.

Yes... and I think it reminded me of Jaded a little bit too for some reason :oprah:

Anyone else feel a slight Ethel Cain influence for Lockdown? Both in the length and structure of the song? Or is it just me..

I can see the comparison, but given Miley is very influenced by classic rock and the song is a collaboration with one of the alternative music legends. I think its just a timing coincidence.

Secrets is a perfect exemple of why 80s inspired music needs to make a comeback :flutter:

Secrets is an INSTANT CLASSIC. I love when pop songs are social danses. DWAS was a waltz, Golden Burning Sun was a chacha. I think this one is a chacha too. I could just imagine my grandparents dancing to this in the eighties. It makes thd music feel grounded. I don't know how to say it.
