The meltdowns over a lighthearted track as a lead would be hilarious, but realistically Disease made the most sense, you're introduced to the very start of the MAYHEM. Zombieboy and VIY are more gp friendly and represent the sound of the album more but they're in the middle of the dancefloor, MAYHEM is a concept album before it is a money maker yknow

She's supposedly pushed for some in the past but been blocked by the label who wanted alternatives. Like didn't she want Marry the Night as the lead for Born This Way?

I think we need to accept that Gaga is in a completely different stage in her career now. Gone are the days where endless singles from album cycles were a thing. I feel we can expect 2 singles per album, one pre album release and one around the time of the album release. And then tour, end era. I agree though, it would be amazing to have a video and single treatment for VIY
