They are business people, not artists. Im sure an artist of Gaga’s status can release an extra video if they WANT to. They are not struggling artists who need to prove they can get a first no1 hit. I wasn't referring to it being a single or not since it's a silly thing to cry for to begin with. The title of the thread it "VIY deserves better", that's what my comment was for. Imo VIY is well loved by her, she performed it every chance she got to in a concert setting and even closes the concerts with it (excluding the encores), therefor I think VIY is just fine where it is 😊

Emvee 8,403
I played VIY in my car yesterday and my mom said, “Lady Gaga has a great voice.” Ugh the GP would have eaten it up 1
dubstep111 666
Thanks I’m so sick of the constant touring with albums. It takes away from singles and promo. Not everybody can afford concerts!! Edited Monday at 02:29 PM by dubstep111

And in the middle of an album era, when are you going to find the time in between the stuff you are contractually obliged to do? 1

At the point of insulting them or saying that they will stop stanning or listen to their songs. Such an infantile behavior like ranting for a 60 seconds closing song. Vanish Into You is FAR from being my favourite song. Lady Gaga isn't even my favourite singer anymore, I even said I don't listen to Mayhem nowadays. I was just trying to understand why such an earworm of a song wasn't released as a single when it was time, from a business/exposure point of view

She only performed the song for roughly 3M people in person til now, it really gets no love WHAT SO EVER ! SUCH A SHAME, SHE AND HER TEAM ARE TRYING TO RUIN HER CAREER.. I'm talking about releasing as a single and promoting it the same way Abracadabra was? Because it's a song that gets stucked in people's head...? What does performing have to do with this
BELLYACHE 1,275
Honestly only heard VIY once never cared to play it again, as well as HBDUWM and DCT Edited Monday at 03:37 PM by BELLYACHE

She did release John Wayne as a "just because" MV and there was no push for that song afterwards. Maybe we will get one more video after Dead Dance...we can only hope!

What does performing have to do with this because that's promotion and if it's not sticking when performed for around 2 million people on one beach for free, it's obviously a waste of money idc for charts but i understand that for gaga as a pop musician, music means business and business means profit. the label is making a tonne of money from an already sold out tour, financially there is no need for another single cycle... that's just the state of pop music these days, there's a lot less going on because it's *cheaper* to just playlist a song and hope for the best vs booking a bunch of promotional spots, hiring crew, planning performances etc and hoping for the best am I happy with this? no, it's made pop music incredibly boring but it's also tiring to see people blame gaga's team for fumbling when they haven't realised the reality of the pop music scene these days and yes, she probably could afford to make a video out of her own pocket unless there's some legal ties holding her back requiring label permission or whatever... or she simply doesn't wish to Edited Monday at 06:15 PM by nATAH mother, what must i do?
