UK Update: The Dead Dance has now fallen two spots to 24. Despite the fall it is still pretty stable, though I suspect that it is going to run into the UKs "halved points rule" soon.

that'll happen week 10. As long as it increases on halloween week, we'll be saved until 3 weeks after halloween

I can accept the rule if they kick out Wildflower out of the charts too. Wtf that song staying that long in the charts and not go recurrent :triggered:

WAIT WHY IS WILDFLOWER STILL CHARTING BRUHHHH. 70 weeks and it sits at #70 even after the rules??? DWAS got kicked off for being 60 weeks in the top 25 but Wildflower is STILL charting... we need clarity

Because DWAS was #1 , Wildflower never peaked high, just lingers on thelower part of  HOT 100

I was worried that DWAS could not become the #1 world charting song anymore, but:

🧮 Current data snapshot (as of Oct 12 2025)

Die With A Smile (DWAS) → 20.365 M points

Candle In The Wind 1997 → 21.314 M points
➡ Gap ≈ 949 k points

Before the Hot 100 change, DWAS was adding roughly +162 k points per week globally.

If we assume the U.S. (Hot 100) contributed ≈25–30 % of those points, recurrent status could remove roughly that share.

🔢 Scenario: U.S. contribution drops out

Let’s be conservative and assume a 25 % loss in total weekly points.

162 000 × (1 − 0.25) ≈ 121 500 points per week

How long to close the gap

949000÷121500≈7.8weeks

→ ≈ 8 weeks from Oct 12 2025 → early December 2025

So even without the Hot 100 contribution, DWAS could still become #1 — just a few weeks later than previously projected.

⚠️ Caveats

If the U.S. decline causes secondary effects (less global playlisting, radio spins, or viral exposure), the drop might be steeper — say −35 %, which would stretch it to 10–11 weeks (late Dec / early Jan).

But if strong performance continues in Europe, Latin America, and Asia (which currently seem robust for DWAS), it’s still on a realistic path to #1.

Conclusion:
Yes — even without Hot 100 support, Die With A Smile can still reach #1 all-time on the United World Chart,
though its timeline likely shifts from mid-November → early December 2025.

We need DarkGa with Bops so we can rule the industry again and learn the other popgirls how to snatch 'em wigs to ultimate baldness!!

Someone said months ago that it has to do with radio, it's gaining airplay so the answer is payola, if it was about peaks Abracadabra would be charting until now too :traumatica: (possibly)

Billboard rules are messy and they clearly don't like Gaga anyways so they wouldn't be making exceptions for her :patrizia: Just remember what happened to Bad Romance... There was a week that it could've and should've hit #1 but they never explained how they calculated the points :awkney: and they keep changing rules and putting them into effect immediately curiously around the time Gaga releases something or when she can avoid going recurrent :nooo: It's been years and years of the same thing so it doesn't surprise me at this point

I've read somewhere that it's because it's rising on radio and billboard considers that a sign that interest in the song is rising. I don't agree tho, as I don't think radio is a good indicator for that.

Apt. fell out of Hot 100 weeks ago (recurrent) and it's still charting there in the UWC. Recurrent status had no impact on that chart because it's not based on Billboard points... So DWAS should be unbothered. :haroon:

Ok guys so my phone dropped and it cracked but I'm not fixing it because it's giving Mayhem.

Ok so I was walking to the gym with my iced coffee and the fall leaves were blowing everywhere & I saw this grandma dressed in all black looking kind of creepy watching her kid play. I was like wait a minute... this is kind of giving Disease, so I tried to get out my phone to play the song. But while I was doing that, I accidentally spat out some of my coffee (I drink black) because I got excited, and then was like WAIT ANOTHER minute because I am legit in the Disease video right now. Yeah... liddo things I guess
