I am a democrat, who wants to vote for democrats, not democratic socialists the same age as me with no experience. Mamdani is not it - he’s just attractive, a good speaker and communicating popular ideas.

But also Coumo harassment stuff is gross, and I hate that he put out a book about handling Covid during the heart of Covid.

I really hate that these are our top two choices - NYers deserve better.

Honestly, that's a really reductive stance to take on Mamdani.

Prior to politics he worked in the Housing sector, which is one of his main policy platform focuses. He's been involved in NYC politics for over a decade. He's been in the NY State assembly since 2020. A member of 9 assembly committees - which is the real legislative driver in that kind of political chamber. Primary sponsor of 3 bills which became law and has been involved with 258 bills. He's the only state legsilator in the race to have not missed a legislative session.

And as for him being a Democratic Socialist. He's an american one. Which means copying what European centrists have been doing for decades and pretending it's radical rather than common sense.

The experience in politics thing is just a myth created by the establishment to maintain legitimacy and discourage challenge.

Today is the day everyone! Get out and vote! Do NOT rank Cuomo! Zohran Mamdani seems like a pretty good choice to me.

It's just a mayor position anyway. A lack of experience is far more desirable than being a monster imo.

New York is gonna be run well regardless, I say it's worth it to take the chance on the fresh man.

Yeah, I won’t be upset if he wins - whoever wins will be the will of the NY democratic voters and I’ll respect that.

If he wins, I’m happy for his supporters and we’ll see how he does.

There will be a second round, since Mamdani hasn't reached 50%.
I just hope he was most people's second choice, so that Cuomo won't pass him on the in the coming round..

Lander and Mamdani cross endorsed so I hope that gives him enough votes to keep the momentum.

Wait.... I thought Trump just won the election??

Now you're telling me a brown communist is about to get in our WHITE house and enact sharia law to turn our pets trans and ban our jalapeno poppers?

America, explain !!

The Democratic establishment worked overtime trying to scare New Yorkers into rejecting Mamdani.

Looks like all the money and fear-mongering isn’t working.

New Yorkers did not decide to rank a grandma killer and sexual assaulter as their choice.

Cuomo is hopefully DONE.

Cuomo gave a speech a few minutes ago, seemingly conceding the victory to Mamdani. However there is technically a second round, to be counted on July 1st, since none of them reached 50%. Let's see what happens, but signs point to a Mamdani win for the Primary.
