27monster27 13,090
I think it would've been impossible to accurately describe an album that was branded as being chaotic. I love MAYHEM and what we got. The unexpected nature fits perfectly with the theme of the album. he/him/his 1 1

It sounds odd hearing that because it's her "art", like there's no rule that she has to adhere to a certain fashion due to a certain sonic on the album. Of course it’s her art. But that doesn’t mean other people don’t have different interpretations of certain things. I like her looks. I just don’t associate it with electro grunge and 80s synth. It’s not a criticism. It’s just my own points of views. 2

doppelganger 3,933
I was concerned that the album would be a redux of the fame monster after Abra was released, but the album defied my expectations. It's pop perfection.
LilMonst3r 5,448
It is everything she said it was. It is a culmination of everything she is as a musician, what people defined as her “Gaga” sound. Through out the album we see who Gaga is to the core. A chaotic artist who can scream a song out that you hear the grit in her voice. Or she can serenade you and touch your heart. I too had the hopes that the whole album was gonna be aggressive sounds I Like that it is well balanced sound wise. You get the grit and edge that we love from Gaga yet we also get lovely vocals and lyrics that fill you with emotion. I loved it plus I want to make a video how some songs are definitely references to unreleased classics…

LilMonst3r 5,448
2 hours ago, pop ate my heart said: Even that one I think is quite ironic/tongue in cheek. If you look at it that way reading through the lyrics, it actually is quite a twisted song that comments about identity and societal expectations. (if you think this is a stretch, Gaga is known for writing lyrics that seem like simple love songs but actually have a much deeper meaning, i.e Disease, Monster, Telephone, Venus, etc.) I felt she was reminiscing on a relationship where somebody wanted her for the “Dark edgy sexy pop star aura she performed for the world” They couldn’t take her for the human she is. So she has had reservations on the intentions men have with her. Edited March 8 by LilMonst3r
Mr Oak 7,629
2 hours ago, Bronco said: we're ignoring the fact the lyrics are her basically telling a dude to cheat/leave a relationship for her. Zombieboy too, in a way Edit: listening to How Bad Do U Want Me again, it's not about cheating cuz the good girl is only the type of girl he wants, how he fantasizes his future girlfriend to be. Only the bad girl/Gaga is real, about to kiss him "in real life" as she sings Edited March 8 by Mr Oak
Let Love Down 63
She explained it very clearly that she never repeats what have been done in previous album, as a learning artist. People who are not satisfied with not having TFM or BTW 2.0 can stop listening and complaining.
