There are very strongs songs but... also some are very weak, and I'd say it could have been easily a 11 song album. But yeah, it shows Gaga's growth as an artist overall, I'd say yes.

Her second best. Musicianship is intense! You can hear everything clearly. Layers after layers in pristine production. Very weedy/hazy/romantic soundscape with some teeth. Vocals feel effortless. OMG I LOVE IT.

i would say it’s the album i always knew she was capable of making. i think it’s my 3rd favorite, sitting behind BTW and TFM. it’s just so HER and it shows of all of her musical influences and growth in a way her earlier projects don’t as much.

I'll let you know once I hear the two bonus tracks and I sit with the album a bit longer. But it is the most unapologetically Gaga album since ARTPOP where you can feel she really poured her soul, heart and mind into an album in a way I can't imagine any other artist could do an album. Joanne and Chromatica had some Gagaisms, but were super watered down, but this? This is ****ing insanity, even the "worse" songs blow Joanne and a chunk of Chromatica out of the water, and I say this as a big Chromatica fan. 

The production is immaculate, the vocals are so elevated and it's some of her best writting. I just wish The beast and Killah went a biiiit harder considering the lyrics and song titles, but we do need some breathers.

Her Magnum Opus is “The Fame Monster.” I love Born This Way as much as the next little monsters. But when you think Gaga, the entire world will associate the Lady Gaga image to The Fame Monster. It’s synonymous with what we all think of Gaga.

So now that it’s officially out I will say no but it’s by far better than Joanne, Chromatica and half of ARTPOP. 

It’s a step up from her last 2 albums. The production is wonderful & the vocals are great. It has some great lyrics too. I would say it’s in the middle.

Magnum opus means both best work and most important work. I'd say no because BTW is signature Gaga sound as a whole + it brings this message of being yourself and loving yourself, that Gaga has always championed about..what she is all about.

 

For me, MAYHEM is closely second to BTW, which is really good. This album feels like a magnum opus not for Little Monsters...but for the general public.

In my opinion, hbdywm is the Brooklyn Nights we never got. Gaga doesn't need to be Taylor drag, she did her own "Taylor" years ago
