bpmMonkey 4,519
Very random side note, but is anybody else slipping into Robyn’s „Love Kills“ while humming the refrain of Abracadabra ?
Cavadour 2,105
Deadly loving it. I was sleeping. It was around 7 am and I woke up knowing there was something special to see and hear. Omg! A Grammy for Gaga & Bruno ? Then what ?California Dreaming in such a soulful cover... Then... I had to put my headphones on and full screen... Abracadabra, amor-oo-na-na, Abracadabra, morta-ooh-ga-ga... Instant goosebumps. A spinning pop perfect melody. It's 9:15 and I already saw at least 10 times that video. Beautiful. Exciting. I lllllllllllooooove it. Gaga, you're an absolute angel !!! And now, how can I sleep after that ? Late to the party but I got a diamond heart
hELXIG 41,957
my expecations. Literally sat there in a state of shock with my mouth open in a trance. Felt like I wanted to cry. I loved disease but I LOVE this sound and video. Like it's so right up my alley. I feel like I'm seeing a Gaga I said goodbye to 10 years ago. Like an old friend I thought I'd never see again. I think it's her best video and possibly best song since BTW. I love that she's back to poetic lyrics because for a while they were feeling a bit.. literal. The poetry and dark vibes, the slightly industrial sound, the 'bad romance-esque' choppy hook, the way she did something avant garde again using a word like 'abracadabra' that just has such a feeling to it, he catchiness of the melody, her operatic vocals near the end, the choreography is back to being TEN out of ten, the video is so cunty and slay, the wardrobe feels elevated and not costumey. It has EVERYTHING I could have wanted Edit: I was nervous to watch it if I'm being honest and put it off for a while. I've been sleeping really bad, in the weekend I shaved my grandma's hair because of chemo and went with the family to scatter my cousins ashes, then this morning slept in and was late for work. Been in such a slump, but also so physically and mentally exhausted that I just don't have the capacity to care. Usually when in a place mentally like this is taints anything I watch but this managed to break through all of that and still shock and amaze me, which says a lot Edited 4 hours ago by hELXIG I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

ModernEcstasy 8,563
This song for me is true Lady Gaga. It’s the reason I fell in love with her all those years ago. No other artist could release this song. It is truly unique and I fear I’m gonna wake up from this dream and the song won’t exist.
Oriane 20,012
Sorry to French people if reading this ruins it for you, but the bridge reminds me of the music from Plus belle la vie You popped my heart seams, all my bubble dreams
Phaye Monster 8,694
It’s just so perfect in every way and so, so quintessentially Gaga. I love it. I love it and I’m speechless. It’s so good. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted from Gaga tbh. I'm an ARTPOP bitch, baby
cyberome 0
The final chorus should have hit harder or go on for a bit longer. It’s a banger though!

vitoburrrito 630
After a couple of listens I still like Disease more, including the video, although the Abracadabra video is great too. I like that the CaneGa made an appearance in the video, it adds some continuity between the two singles. I like that Abracadabra has a Sophie Ellis-Bextor meets Chromatica vibe , it feels fresh for Gaga. I just don’t think the song is as catchy as Disease and I’m not sure I like the songwriting much, but the beat and video are great.
Linus Gaga 8,047
Besides her past music videos, I think there is definitely inspiration from dom perignon 2023 dance video, and intel 2015 as well. Oriane 20,012
4 hours ago, OliviaRodrigoStan said: For many, many years, the fanbase hoped she would release certain songs, that were darker, and unconventional, as singles. So many of us wanted songs like "Scheiße", "Government Hooker", "Swine", "Bloody Mary" or even "Teeth" to have a music video. So far, Mayhem seems to be the project that is very much that: her darker, more unconventional material, receiving the spotlight. If you're expecting huge hits from Mayhem I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment. It's absolutely ok for you not to like the song, but it is also important for you to understand what kind of project this is, so that you can have realistic expectations about it. If you're hoping for a "Poker Face" or a "Bad Romance", it's unlikely to happen. This album is for "Babylon", "Donatella", "Sheiße" stans. And that's a good thing for many of us, even if it's not particularly your cup of tea I actually thought the opposite. All these songs you mentioned are more experimental and weird. Abracadabra reminds me more of her hit songs and I hardly find it experimental. It has that Gaga edge but like all of her singles, it's definitely more radio-friendly like Bad Romance, and doesn't have the craziness of Scheisse or Swine. Kermit the frog 1,882
It's not musically very original, but who cares, it slaps. That abracadabra post-chorus hook is absolute FIRE. And vocally? Mama, sing it! I like how her voice is in the front and how she's added some little quirks here and there. It's delicious. Super camp!
