It's a weird question, but do you take The Fame and The Fame Monster as one single album/era......or as two different projects.

Two albums, two eras, two tours (three tours?), I've never viewed them as being part of the same project :partysick:

Anyone with a working brain knows that it’s two separate albums and two separate eras. However, for some label-ish reasons, a lot of people, markets and publications consider it one whole entity. So which are y’all?

They are two entirely separate albums, with TFM being basically an EP that contrasts the themes of The Fame

It's just that for charting/marketing purposes, TFM is considered a reissue of The Fame

They're very much a separate thing in my mind, in every way possible. They even had a separate tour.

Before Gaga merged DWAS with Mayhem, she merged The Fame with The Fame Monster :huntyga:

Initially, The Fame Monster was released as a standalone EP, but it was also bundled with the original The Fame tracklist as a double-disc deluxe edition. Disc 1 has The Fame Monster songs while Disk 2 has The Fame songs. This deluxe edition is also available in streaming services like YouTube and Spotify. Due to which, the pure sales and streams are counted together.

I wish they added just TWO more tracks so it could be by numbers like an album, Like Glitter and Grease + Vanity were right there and she preformed them on tour.  Cause they feel , sound and look  like completely diff bodies of work.

2 different albums, both got their own eras/tours, Gaga calls it an album and LG2 and if Madonna's debut or Blackpinks The Album can be considered albums (with 8 songs) then I don't see why TFM can't be.

Not Vanity and Glitter And Grease on The Fame Monster :deadbanana:  It would be even more confusing, especially with Vanity being released already as a track from The Fame in Japan or something

It is by numbers an album, many successful albums such as Let's Dance by David Bowie has 8 tracks. Thriller by Michael Jackson has 9 tracks.

Ride The Lightning by Metallica has 8 tracks, Dirty Mind by Prince has 8 tracks, The Cures ****ography has 8 tracks, IV by Led Zeppelin, Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen - all of them are considered whole albums.  EPs have around 5 songs.

For me The Fame Monster is clearly an album.

this isn't true

Vanity only appeared on promotional editions for The Fame

https://www.discogs.com/release/12262656-Lady-Gaga-Lady-Gaga

these contained older mixes of the final songs, such as Love Games and didn't have a public release

Vanity never made it to any final version of The Fame
