Brat vs. Eternal Sunshine

I love both these albums but Brat has the edge for me

I'm not even a Brat superfan (nor have I listened to Eternal Sunshine), but why are we acting like chart performance matters in this? I'm tired of the Billboard-related brainrot that so many pop fans seem to have

Brat is not only the album I wanted at this time in my life but the one I needed. Plus it’s more personal for me.

Im hoping LG7 is in a similar vein too

Eternal sunshine is a lovely listen, it's kinda everything I like about Ari but in a refined way and the vocals + production are glorious! however Brat is that bitch! Its fun, campy, daring and gives you various moods and emotions, i just wish Charli's vocals were a bit betta   it was a total cultural moment thou, moreso than any other albim this year. 

But overall Brat gets my vote, its THE album of the year closely after Auroras What happened to the heart, St. Vincent's All born screaming and 21 Pilot's Clancy.

Eternal Sunshine all the way! The lyricism and vocals do such a great job of conveying emotion - and even the songs that aren’t so emotional are great to listen to from a production and harmony standpoint. One of her best - if not the absolute best. 

I just can’t get behind Brat outside of a few songs - I find Charli’s voice grating, and coming from someone who’s been in the EDM/rave scene for years, the album (to me) sounds so bland.

Ngl judging quality by chart performance is objectively dumb and it’s wild that people are even willing to go to bat for that stance.

I like brat for what it did socially and giving charli some recognition. I’ve always liked charli but I do not revisit her music that much after it drops. Brat is definitely her best work and I am happy for her. 
 

I am just a bigger Ari fan, and eternal sunshine is just perfectly made. It’s everything you want in an Ari album. Her lyrics have improved and she’s just a master at creating melodies and hooks. So I’m giving my vote to ES.

I like both so much but Brat as an album is a much more interesting project than Eternal Sunshine. I don't listen to either from start to finish but Brat does have it's cool moments and sometimes some of the songs have repetitive lyrics but it's still a fun listen. I can see why people would vote for Ariana, this is probably her strongest album and absolutely love everything from Saturn Returns til We Can't Be Friends.  It's a great listen but it's just typical Ariana, while Brat just took me by surprise.
