AMC, the world’s largest exhibitor, and new live entertainment company Arena One have set a June launch for a live concert venture that will beam events in real time to more than 300 AMC locations nationwide.

Arena One At AMC will debut with performances from Bebe Rexha (June 17), Paris Hilton (June 18) and Maren Morris (June 20). Additional artists and dates will be announced in the coming weeks. Ticket prices will range from $40 to $75, plus taxes and applicable online fees, depending on the artist and market.

The format expands access for fans while giving artists a way to reach audiences without the limitations of traditional touring, the partners said.

“The next chapter of live shows isn’t about proximity to big venues, it’s about creating visceral, intimate, affordable live connection between artists and fans no matter where they are,” said Rohit Kapoor, founder and chief creative officer of Arena One, which he says “gives artists a new cinema-native canvas to create live performances, while amplifying the raw energy and shared fandom that makes live shows unforgettable.”

That includes “crowd buzz, sound and reactions flowing back and forth between the fans and performers” beamed to theaters through interactive technology from a dedicated performance stage optimized to translate seamlessly to cinemas.

The stage is in Lititz, Pa. on the Rock Lilitz campus where Arena One is based.

The venture “has the potential to open an entirely new chapter in live entertainment,” said AMC CEO Adam Aron, with music fans across the country will be able to come together for the same live concert, at the same time, all with the accessible premium experience of huge screens, powerful sound, and comfortable seats.”

I guess people who can't (afford to) attend actual concert will resort to this? :oprah:

I already hated the fact that I had to watch the eras tour and most of the Chromatica Ball on a screen in the stadium because the seats were so far from the stage. For me this blurrs the line between watching irl and on my phone, so this new concept will not be my thing.

Mayhem Ball in the arena was great because I could looi at Gaga as well, not only a screen

That's the future they want. Max ticket prices, attending concerts becomes a statuts symbol for tiktok addicted rich people, and the poor ones get to watch the cinema version so they can maximise profits. Sad.

I like the idea of this - but $75 to watch a livestream? Nah.

I'd pay 20 max. 35 with a merch item included.

But it would be good for the flagging cinema industry which is ultimately good for town/city economies. And would be a great way of taking tours or shows to places they can't reach due to budget/scale issues.

Covid concerts at home were fun where some bands charged 15-20 bucks to tune in. This? Nah. Just make actual ticket prices more affordable. This seems like a new chapter in capitalism nightmares

No one is going to spend concert ticket money to not be at an actual concert, especially if they already can't afford $20 movie tickets. I could see this helping out movie theaters, and smaller acts reach a wider audience, but no one will spend that much for a glorified livestream. Artists/labels should just hire professionals to record their tour ala Renaissance Tour Film to showcase the tour, some BTS footage, and deliver a visually stunning project, but again, very few acts have the resources for that.

If theaters really want to incentivize audiences to patronize, they should offer more discount days (not just one day of the week), keep concessions basic and affordable (who tf is ordering cheeseburgers and pizza at the movie theater...), and encourage people to watch anniversary rereleases at a discounted price (feeds into the nostalgia factor + there'll "always be something to watch at the movies").

Honestly, if I was an artist now with a good label budget id do those covid style livestream shows for every album release.

Just a full front to back playthrough of the new album for the first time. It'd be so much fun

Straight up a scam. Just an excuse to make you pay very expensive tickets.

Absolutely

I think there’s a huge market for this

That price is way too high. I just saw Michael in IMAX and at times it felt like being at an actual concert, so the idea is good but the price should be the same as any other movie.

AMC has partnered with Arena One to bring real-time concert events to theatrical audiences.

Debuting in June 2026, this groundbreaking concert concept is set to feature performances from Bebe Rexha - June 17, Paris Hilton - June 18, Kim Petras - June 19, and Maren Morris - June 20, all experienced live in more than 300 AMC locations nationwide.

The in-theater concerts will use technology to connect the musical artist with moviegoers, transmitting sound from audiences around the country back to the performer.

Tickets will range from $40 to $75 depending on the artist and market, the company said.
