Is Slayyyter the new Kesha?

There’s something about Slayyyter that taps into that same early Kesha chaos. Not just sonically, but aesthetically and energy-wise, that dirty party girl vibe, glitter, sweat, messy makeup, looking slightly unhinged but completely in control of it. The whole trashy glam thing too. Her aesthetic looks cheap on purpose, exaggerated, almost ironic, but still hot. All that reminds me of Kesha and how she nailed back then, loud and purposely excessive. Haven't seen that in that level in an artist in a long time.

Performance-wise it’s the same idea. Not clean, not overly rehearsed, but memorable. Presence over precision. Even the visuals hit that same nerve — low budget feel, saturated, chaotic, but with a very clear identity behind it.

 

 

 

It’s obviously a different time and a different sound, but the spirit feels very familiar. I don't know, this really feels like a modern, internet-age version of that early Kesha energy.

oh and before anyone jumps me for comparing artists or acting like there needs to be a “new Kesha”,  that’s not what this is. I love Kesha, she’s an incredible (and often underrated) artist, and she is unique, just like Slayyyter. This is just appreciation, and love for both.

I think Slayyyter is a more well rounded act as she came up the DIY route. But personally, Kesha is the better singer.

Shes more of a new Tumblr version. The indipent version of Kesha? 

But Kesha looked tipsy or wasted with cute mushrooms. This girl gives me more hard drugs vibe. Plus She reminds me more of some part of Britney spears
