Marcellus Williams was falsely convicted of murder in 2001. Forensic evidence from the scene of the crime does not line up with Marcellus Williams. On top of this, the state allegedly destroyed evidence that made him appear innocent. Many have urged governor Mike Parson to do something, but to no avail as of yet. Marcellus will be executed on September 24th if nothing happens.

I will never understand how anyone thinks it's okay to kill another human (unless self-defense), regardless of whether they are guilty of an alleged serious crime.

Isnt there supposed to be no doubts in the eyes of the law before a death penalty is carried out? If evidence does not lign up how do they even allow this to happen?

I am pro death penalty, when proved guilty. Many monsters out there who don't give a flying **** about taking other people's lives, should be treated the same way. Innocents should not.

But its natural that if we allow the death penalty, there will be alot of innocent people that will get the death penalty by mistake.

The only way I could see this working is if we only allow the death penalty on criminals that we have 100% proof of their crimes, which is extremely rare.

The justice system is so reliant on the skills of the lawyers (thats why ppl care so much about getting a good lawyer, if the truth was all that matters ppl wouldnt care about a good lawyer, but skill in making arguments is just as critical for your chances)...

 

and in some Countries like US & Canada a jury made up of regular people who #1 Likely dont even wanna be there in the first place, and #2 have no extensive knowledge of law

CNN posted this morning that the Missouri SC would be hearing his case but now that I am looking at the same article later in the day, it has been updated to say the court denied him

There is a protest in DC forming for anyone available. There is a number to text, but I don't want to sure it yet because allegedly it might cost money?

this ultimately went to the US Supreme Court and his appeal was rejected by a majority...
Marcellus Williams was then executed today by lethal injection at 6:10pm EDT 

His last visitor was his Imam (spiritual leader) and his last words were, "“All Praise Be to Allah In Every Situation"
